Unfortunately, the search party was so far unsuccessful.

They had checked everywhere Madeline could possibly be, but she was still nowhere to be found.

There was a moment where Peter had caught a glimpse of her from inside a bar, but being sixteen and all, they wouldn't let him in, and by the time Tony showed up, she was gone.

During her time in that bar, Maddy met a guy.

"You wanna buy a lady a drink?"

"A pretty lady like you? Of course." He replied. Something about him felt vaguely familiar to Madeline, hence why she let her guard down by talking to him.

She'd been keeping to herself during the time of her bender, only talking to the other random drunk girls she came across, and making sure to stay far away from any strange men.

She was drunk, and high, but never too drunk or high.

"So what is a beautiful girl like you doing in a bar all alone?"

"Celebratory drinks." She smirked, taking the glass of wine from the bartender.

"What could you possibly be celebrating alone?" He asked, mirroring her smirk.

"A few things.. freedom from the place I've been living in. Seeing my friends tonight, they're flying over from England to surprise me for my birthday tomorrow, but one of them accidentally sent the flight details to the group chat with me on it."

"Well I hope you have fun, beautiful. How old you turning tomorrow?"

"Did your mother never tell that it's improper to ask a lady for her age?" Madeline laughed after a short pause.

"My apologies. I'm gonna guess 22, because you're already in this bar, and you look too young to be any older." He said, earning only a smile from Madeline.

"Unfortunately you'll never know." She said, and then noticed someone staring at her through the window.

"You okay?" The man asked, turning around to see what she was looking at, only to turn back and see that she had disappeared.

She went out the back entrance, and turned on her phone for the first time all day.

"Hey, are you guys out the airport yet?" She asked over the phone.

"Yeah, don't worry love, we're just trying to get a cab." Ethan assured her, and then sighed when he realised something he'd forgotten to tell Maddy.

"Is Daisy there?"

"Sorry I didn't tell you earlier, she got stopped at tsa and they wouldn't let her come."

"What?! Why?"

"She was carrying Lorenzo's bag, and-"

"Let me guess, he had weed on him?"

"Yeah. He's here though. And has somehow already bought more for tonight.. if that makes matters any better..?"

Maddy sighed and let out a dry chuckle. "Slightly better. I'll call Daisy in a second. Is Bella at least here?"

"No, she stayed back with Daisy. But, their plane tickets did not go to waste!"

"What did you do?" She groaned, dreading hearing the two names she knew Ethan was about to say.

"Jackson and Rhys came. Great right?"

"I'm killing myself." Madeline groaned, again, before hanging up.

Jackson and Rhys were her childhood friends, they'd always got along, though they were her bad influence friends. That wasn't the problem though: sixteenth year old Madeline thought it would be funny to hook up with her guy friends while she was crossfaded.

First there was Rhys, then a week later there was Jackson. And two perfectly normal friendships turned a little awkward when they all 'quit' smoking weed. There was also a couple times that Lorenzo had gone down on her, but they'd moved past then and forgotten about it when Bella was introduced to the group.

During the whole two weeks of their sobriety, Maddy had realised how awkward it had gotten to be around the two of them when she wasn't on something.

After hanging up the phone, Madeline had decided to go buy a new outfit, not wanting to be seen again by any avengers.

This time she picked out a sequin covered leopard print mini dress, platform heels, and a cropped brown cardigan for later in the night.

A/N about Madeline
I did say that she was a real messy bitch in high school, so this chapter just kind of goes more into it. Her past is very important to the story so you'll be seeing more of her acting like her old self in the next couple chapters. It's all for character development Dw.
