We write this to you today in regards to the unique conditions faced by the US-RFL when it comes to the employment of street fighting tactics. What has already been laid out in the guide the street fighting published a few years back is an excellent course on traditional street fighting tactics (I.E. hand to hand combat or combat with traditional blunt instruments or knives) however due to the peculiarities of the United States the fascist and social-fascist forces that the Red Front Fighter's League faces in the US are armed not only with knives and clubs but also with firearms. Hastily engaging in street fighting without taking the proper precautions (assessing if the opponent or his buddies are armed) is liable to leave a Red Frontist with a bullet in the belly. We have already seen cases where improper precuations were taken by anti-fascist fighters which resulted in preventable deaths (take the Rittenhouse murders affair as an example). In this regard we believe it is important for RFL-USA members to not only receive drills in street fighting tactics but also the proper usage of firearms as well as at least rudimentary first aid training for gunshot and knife wounds.
