INTRIGUES AMONG THE BOURGEOIS LEAD TO THE FALL OF THE GOVERNMENT

Recently, on November 7th, an announcement of an investigation into corruption made the Portuguese Prime Minister resign, remaining in interim role until the bourgeois state finds an alternative, namely through early elections in March.

This intervention by the Public Prosecutor's Office has already led to the arrest of several people involved, but defendants have also been named, including the Prime Minister's chief of staff, the Mayor of Sines, several businessmen and senior officials from the company Start Campus ( its executive president, the legal and sustainability director , a businessman who is a great friend of the prime minister and a company consultant ), the secretary of state for the environment and energy and the president of the board of directors of the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA)).

At the base of this web of corruption is an irregular scheme in the tenders and exploration rights given by the State, namely, in the case of hydrogen and lithium exploration (Montalegre and Boticas ) which attempted to defraud the rules formally agreed between the bourgeoisie in the demagogically called energy transition, favoring some businesspeople to the detriment of others (by the way, more powerful, which meant that the corruption scheme did not last). Envelopes with thousands of euros (78,000) found with the prime minister 's chief of staff , records of meals in luxury restaurants, gatherings in refined environments, wiretaps with signs of favoritism and corruption were the signs and evidence found.

The scandal was so excited in the media that people stopped talking about the President of the Republic's favor in the surgical intervention of two twins, who were at the center of political discussion in the country, also due to his shameless pro-Zionist interventions, in the face of the attack . to Gaza ( In line with the statements of the extreme right-wing parliamentarians (Chega [STOP] and Liberal Initiative) against the limited statements of António Guterres at the UN).

How can we explain that the Prime Minister's official residence itself was the target of searches, occupying the position in question in the hierarchy of the bourgeois state, not even being accused (but placed in an unsustainable situation due to being surrounded by personalities directly involved) if there was no influential force capable of causing him such public humiliation? It seems that the period of management of the bourgeois state granted to Costa's PS has passed its expiration date and this was the means found to overthrow it, at this moment, especially because scandals of this type have been common without any similar type of awareness. The bourgeoisie desires an even more implacably anti-worker and reactionary government management , for which the social-fascist government opened all the doors with the usual civil requisitions in strikes, minimum services, persecution of strikers, police attacks on strike pickets, reduction of labor rights for workers, among others.

Really, something that the media does not mention, not even the social-fascist parties (PCP and BE), is that there is no intention of doing justice behind this scandal, or of public service and political crisis, but just a disagreement between bourgeois companies in competition that led to this outcome.

It is claimed that corruption governs the Portuguese republic, as if it were something new and this was not an integral part of the functioning of the bourgeois state (the difference was that in this case there was no multinational company involved and competition, as already mentioned, was more powerful and influential).

If any doubt is raised by what has been exposed, the Portuguese Section does not intend to show any sympathy for the fallen prime minister, whether he is directly involved in the corruption and favoritism scheme or is a passive spectator, only to analyze the situation that occurred objectively, which can only be carried out by an anti-capitalist vision , as the rest hide the fact that corruption is part of and essential to the functioning of the capitalist system, only appearing as a scandal when it appears in an obvious way, is reported in the media, or the companies involved are small or medium-sized. It is known among the high bourgeoisie that if corruption becomes completely generalized, the bourgeois state becomes weakened and its business opportunities are compromised, the agreement between "thieves" must be respected, especially with regard to safeguarding the benefits of the biggest.

This political crisis arises at a time of ongoing global economic crisis (at this point it has not yet reached breaking point), environmental and climate crisis (as is the case with rising temperatures) in the context of the War in Ukraine, the siege and annihilation of civilians in Gaza, the advance of global fascism, in the Eastern and Western fields of global imperialism, which influences the entire political, social and labor environment, a glimpse of a global war conflict... The change and rotation of governments in the bourgeois regime will only prolong and worsen the crisis, contrary to what the revisionists and social-fascists preach, who ask that workers place their trust in them by giving them the vote and offering "a good life" (BE ) or "work with rights" (PCP), all opportunistic illusionism. Also leftist Trotskyism and neo-revisionism (as well as other similar currents) that speak of socialist revolution, only intend to replace liberal capitalism with a bureaucratic, more statist management of the same, without a clear ideology, always open to opportunist alliances, maintaining the foundations that allow any socialist advance to be easily recovered by the bourgeoisie.

The Comintern (EH) has theoretical and practical work (of dozens and dozens of years counting the militancy of KPD/ML militants) on the honest and firm path of world socialist revolution, based on the experience and example of genuine communist revolutionaries of the past , especially the five classics of Marxism-Leninism, Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Enver Hoxha.

Either the Comintern (SH) gains the support of the majority of the world proletariat, also in Portugal, or the world socialist revolution will not happen, or it will happen after incomparably more decades or hundreds of years of avoidable sacrifices and suffering.

The Portuguese Section takes advantage of the recent communiqué to send militant greetings to all sections and all world communists within the scope of Comintern (SH) Sections Day (November 8): OUR SECTIONS MUST BECOME THE COMINTERN'S SHOCK TROOPS (SH)!

Down with the inherently corrupt capitalist system!

Long live the Comintern (EH)
