Flood victims, are victims of capitalism.

Flooding in the Oder River catchment area, is a topic that everyone in our country has been living with for several days.

A topic, exploited to the core by the bourgeois parties for political games.

Our elites are blaming each other for the deaths of so many people, we can't even tell how many, because the monopoly on the truth is held by state services, and basing it on people's gossip and conjecture is subject to a huge margin of error. We will only know the true number of victims in the future, which is still highly questionable.

The truth is that any person with common sense is able to conclude that the flooding in the Oder River basin was not divine retribution that could not be predicted, but was inevitable.

No one is able to negate the 1997 flood. No one is able to negate the Genoese Low, which, meteorologists had already warned against two weeks before the flood.

No one can negate global warming, caused by the willfulness of big corporations. We hear environmentalists all the time saying "Don't build reservoirs!", "Down with Concretemania!". However, have these "environmentalists" done anything to overthrow capitalism - the real source of the problem, or rather have they limited themselves to nice petitions, or blocking streets, making life difficult for ordinary people rather than corporations. Do the arguments of hydrologists, about the role of forests and reservoirs make any sense in a capitalist state. Where capital, the real source of power in Poland, strives with all its might to multiply itself on the largest possible scale, where an army of corrupt officials do not even know their trade. When their only goal is to maintain the power of capital.

Of course not!

Western corporations, as well as Polish compradors, who through their obedience and lack of any protest benefit from their rule, will never provide security for the people. Water retention reservoirs will always be built in a shabby way, as they do not contribute much to the multiplication of capital, as they are only an unnecessary expense for the claimant people who do not want to drown in floods. Thus, they will always be treated in a lowly way, done poorly, just enough to make people believe in the goodness of the system and stop whining. Many people notice this, especially with the example of the floodwalls, which, done poorly, cannot withstand the first better flood, and only pile up the waves, further increasing the havoc.

However, most of these people do not see the source of the problem, they claim that it is the fault of concretions, that by not building anything we are able to prevent flooding. They claim that the only solution is to plant forests, to depopulate flood-prone areas, which is not a stupid idea at all. The problem lies in the fact that none of them is able to see the total lack of realism in such an action. The bourgeoisie is to leave its vast estates, where it exploits millions of workers? The bourgeoisie is supposed to start farming the large tracts of land that are constantly bringing it gigantic profits, for "biodiverse" forests that, unlike logging forests artificially planted for profit, can stop future floods?

Since when is the motivation of the bourgeoisie the life of the people?

Finally, the state of the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, is unable to resettle millions of people, providing them with decent living conditions, jobs, housing. Such action in a capitalist state, would only end in the suffering of millions of working people.

Mere infrastructure in the form of reservoirs, even built properly, is also of little use when there is total anarchy in the executive apparatus of the state.

When a parasitic class sits on stools in institutions like "Wody Polskie" or "TAURON". This is perfectly illustrated by the example of September 13, when it was already known that a great flood was coming, Czech reservoirs began to drain water, preparing space to stop the flood. What did the Polish state do? Donald Tusk reassured residents, saying they were in no danger, that it only promised to be local and flash flooding. No evacuations were carried out. Even water reservoirs were not secured. Complete chaos reigned. Not only that, reservoirs such as Kozielno, Otmuchow, Mietkow, Dobromierz, Slup, Bukowka, Sosnovka, were letting in more water than they were getting rid of. Some more than 25 times! On the other hand, reservoirs such as Poplar, Pilchowice, Zlotniki, Lesna, Lubachow, were getting rid of this water. By what twisted logic could such an absurd solution have been reached? Is there really no apparatus in Poland that would coordinate the operation of water management?
