The 79th UN General Assembly itself is one of the international theatres of war of opposing predatory interests of the two world camps of imperialism.
All the useless resolutions, which were supposedly passed 'to preserve peace', ultimately only provide further encouragement for ever newer, more disastrous instruments of world domination in the hands of the warring camps of world imperialism.
Now, a new 'pact of the future' is supposed to finally make everything better.
The UN 'wants to solve' the following issues:
The coming generations: How can the international community of states safeguard the interests of not only present but also future generations?
Emergency platform: How can the United Nations respond in a more structured and coordinated way to significant global shocks and crises?
Youth participation: How can young people be better involved in global decision-making processes?
Beyond GDP: How can metrics to inform policy decisions be better aligned with the complex needs of people and the planet?
Global Digital Pact: How can the digital space be shaped positively for humanity so that human rights are upheld and development goals are achieved?
International financial architecture: How can the international financial system be made fairer?
Space: How can space be used for the common good and risks minimised?
Information integrity: How can the integrity of publicly accessible information in the digital domain be guaranteed?
Towards a new agenda for peace: How can the collective security system be adapted to maintain or restore peace now and in the future?
Transforming education: How can education be universalised and transformative?
UN 2.0: How can the United Nations reform itself internally to have a better impact in the world?
We say:
All these beautiful reforms cannot be realised in world capitalism.
The Comintern (SH) therefore condemns this 'Pact for the Future' as yet another attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of the world public that the UN is an "instrument of peace".
No, on the contrary: there can be no future for the UN!
We will not give it a future because it has lost the trust of the peoples for the thousandth time. The UN is an instrument of war that has to be knocked out of the hands of the warmongers!
The UN cannot be reformed. So there is nothing left to do but to dissolve it by world revolutionary means and create the World Union of Socialist Nations in its place. And it is precisely for this reason that world imperialism, as the cause of ever new predatory wars, must be smashed to the ground and the dictatorship of the socialist state established.
