Fighting the lockout terror !
Canadian rail freight transport comes to a standstill due to nation-wide lockout. Rail traffic in Canada and all shipments across the US border have been suspended due to the lockout.
Canada's two major freight rail companies have completely shut down operations due to a contract dispute with their employees.
Railway companies Canadian National (CN) and CPKC have locked out their workers after no new agreements were reached with the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, which represents about 10,000 train drivers, conductors and dispatchers. This is the first time the country has faced simultaneous work stoppages at the two companies.
The train crews complain about the way railway workers are rostered, as well as rules to prevent fatigue and ensure adequate rest periods. they will be forced moving from the current system of paying workers based on kilometres travelled to an hourly system.
Employers' organisation argues :"If rail transport comes to a halt, businesses and families across the country will feel the impact by supply chain disruptions.
We are used to the yellow unions of Canada negotiating on the backs of Canadian workers and betraying their interests.
We take this industrial action of the railway workers as an opportunity to found an A-section of the Red Trade Union International in Canada.
The Comintern (SH) protests against Canada's 'unofficial' arms exports which end up in Israel and we call on the train crew to refuse to deliver weapons out of the country that are declared for Israel.

Ban on Lockouts.
The ban on lockouts must be fought for by the entire world proletariat.
A lockout is the freedom of the capitalists to undermine and cancel out the right to strike.
Lockout is a declaration of war by the capitalists against the working class.
Lockout is economic terrorism against the world proletariat!
Lockout is a further step on the road to world fascism - complete lawlessness and ruin of the working class and its revolutionary organisations.
The employers claim that they need the lockout to defend themselves against striking workers - lockouts are only used in 'self-defence'.
But in capitalism there is no so-called 'equality of arms' in the class struggle, because capitalism is the most terrorising system of exploitation and oppression in the history of mankind. The capitalist owns the factories and the worker has nothing but his labour power, which the capitalist disposes of. It is the capitalists who are destroying jobs and plunging millions of working families into misery. It is the capitalists who reduce wages in real terms, who drive workers to rush to work and who do not care about safety in the workplace.
Lockouts violate labour law and human rights. That is why lockouts must be banned!
RILU demands a worldwide legal ban on lockouts, knowing full well that this can only be achieved through revolutionary class struggle.
We will get rid of yellow labour unions that try to prevent us from doing so on behalf of capital.
