The march overall went well of course there were many revisionist and social-fascist organizations present ranging from Trotskyites to Bob Avakian Maoists and the march itself had little revolutionary character further exemplified by the fact that it was largely a student and not a worker affair, many speeches were given about the revolutionary role of the students but none about the proletariat. The student can be an important ally to the proletariat but can never take the leading role in the struggle and supplant the proletariat; this would be pure revisionism.
The Comintern (SH) banner drew a lot of attention both from press and attendees; this is something that can be capitalized on. As is typical of these events right wing press was particuarly attracted to us due largely to the hammer sickle rifle banner
In regards to the March itself it was overall peaceful however towards the end we got to watch a spectacular failure of the direct action tactic in real time. black bloc anarchists misjudging the mood of the crowd and attempted to storm the security barrikade by themselves resulting in the police mobilizing and holding a heavier presence at the convention.
Lessons learned
1st party literature must be printed and handed out at these events, we must self critically note that we had no party literature and so were reduced to giving lengthy interviews explaining the party positions to anyone who asked.
2nd Party name must be clearly displayed.
3rd QR codes to the party website must be provided as we are banned off most major search engines such as Google thus making the party difficult to find.
