*One year later*
Yep, you read that right. A whole year passed by. Nothing much happened towards the year. I was living my best life, seeing my best friends every day at work, and off work. Chan and I were living our relationship to the fullest. Working with your boyfriend wasn't always easy (dealing with jealousy, exhaustion, stress, and everything), but our great communication helped it work. We kept our dates on Friday nights, and Chan almost moved into my apartment so we could have our intimacy. To sum up, life was beautiful.
Friday night. I was lying on the couch, lazily scrolling on my phone waiting for my boyfriend to come back from JYP. I heard the keys at the door and jumped on my feet, ready to welcome him. He had barely stepped into the apartment that I jumped in his arms. "Welcome back baby !". Chan caught me with one arm, the other one holding his laptop. He smiled widely, blessing me with his pretty dimples. "Hi, Babe.". He put his laptop on the table and stepped into the living room, with me still in his arms, legs crossed around his waist.
"How was practice ?". "It went well, but Lee Know wasn't in a good mood so everything wasn't smooth enough to satisfy him." he mumbled. He delicately put me down on the couch and asked : "I'm craving some street food and a night walk, what do you say ?". My eyes twinkled with excitement. "I say go get a quick shower and let's go !". He gave me a quick peck. "That's why I love you.".
An hour later, we were walking hand in hand along Han's river. We looked like robbers, all dressed in black. Chan was wearing a full black outfit, with a cap and his hood on, plus a mask to prevent anyone from recognizing him. A year ago, after Chan told me he was ready to go public, we talked this through and decided to stay secret from the fans. I wasn't ready to commit to the whole world for now. There's a French saying that says : To live happily, let's live hidden.
I had bought some tteok tteok and corn dogs on the way, and we were searching for the perfect spot to eat it. We finally stopped and sat on the grass, leaning against each other. We ate in peace, practically not talking. But it wasn't awkward at all. We were so comfortable with each other to the point where we didn't need to make conversation. He kissed my shoulder before leaning his head on it, taking a deep breath. "I've made the right decision.". "What decision ?". "The decision of being with you. This year was beyond perfect, and it's mostly thanks to you. 7 years ago I found a reason to live with the kids. And now I have another reason to enjoy life. My life is complete, I have everything I could have wished for.".
I kissed the top of his head, answering : "This year was indeed perfect. You make me the happiest on earth Chan. You're my happiness.". He raised his head and took off his mask to kiss me deeply : "I love you. And one day I will wife you up.". I chuckled, raising an eyebrow : "What was that ?". He smirked and winked : "Consider that as a promise.".
The day after, I woke up without Chan by my side. I checked the time and frowned. It was still soon, why was he awake this early ? I checked my phone to find a text from him.
My happiness
My happiness: Good morning princess. I received a call from JYP and had to go immediately. See you at work. I love you.
I sighed and reluctantly got ready for work. JYP can't function without him, huh ? On my way to the building, I stopped by the bakery to buy breakfast for the boys. I went to their practice room, eager to see their smiley faces when they saw the bakeries. But as I entered the room, I found everyone gathered around Bin, focused on his phone. "Are we sure it's them ?", "Look at the picture, I.N. Even a blind man could recognize Chan.". I coughed to catch their attention. They all jumped in fear. Changbin quickly shoved his phone in his pocket, and Hyunjin and Seungmin took a step to the side to hide Changbin. Han immediately rushed to me, a fake smile plastered on his face : "Hey bug ! How did you sleep?".
