In the library, Xiaodan set her book down and stared at Li Chyou, who was busy on her phone instead of her assignment. Li Chyou was busy texting Zhu Haoran. She couldn't help but ask him if he happened to know Feng Yichen's grade.

Zhu Haoran didn't find anything weird with the question and replied, "I'm not entirely sure. I think he's the same as me."

"..." Li Chyou didn't know how to respond. She knew her cousin was not so great with his studies. She always remembered her aunt nagging him about his grades.

Another text from Zhu Haoran came through, "If you are looking for someone to help you with homework, ask Mingze. He has excellent grades."

She didn't seem to care what her cousin texted as she couldn't help but think maybe Feng Yichen wasn't good at studying and needed someone to tutor him.

"Chyou," Xiaodan called her name for the third time.

"Huh?" Li Chyou finally looked up at Xiaodan.

"Did you say something?" Li Chyou asked.

"I've been calling your name for a while now. What's on your mind? You're not even doing your homework, which is unusual for you?" Xiaodan said.

"Nothing," she answered right away, to which Xiaodan knew it was something, but since Li Chyou didn't want to say anything, then there was no point in asking again. Li Chyou finally set her phone down and started working on her assignments.

Xiaodan leaned against her palm before saying, "I noticed you and Feng Yichen have some tension in the air. Did something happen? I thought you two were starting to get along?"

Immediately, Li Chyou's pencil froze. She sat there for a minute before she flusteredly said, "N-nothing happened. I think you are seeing things. Al-so Feng Yichen and I were never close."

"Oh," Xiaodan nodded her head, but she knew something happened.

The next day arrived, and they were all in class.

"If you guys remember, this course has a group project. Today, we will be starting our group project, and it will be due at the end of the semester. Please group yourselves into 4s or 5s. Once you have a group, please decide among yourselves who is the leader. Have the group leader inform me who is in your group after class," the professor announced before continuing the group project instructions to the whole class.

Once the lecture was over, everyone started grouping into 4s or 5s. Zhu Haoran turned his attention to them.

"Alright, who is going to be the group leader? My vote is either Mingze or Chyou," Zhu Haoran said, deciding they were a group.

Li Chyou's eyebrows raised in shock, "I-I think Wu Mingze should be the group leader. I'm...not good at directing," she said.

"I think Chyou would be a great group leader," Xiaodan said. Li Chyou wanted to refute, Wu Mingze chimed in.

"I also think Li Chyou would be good," Wu Mingze said.

"I can be the assistant," he added. Li Chyou couldn't refuse since everyone except for Feng Yichen had decided she would be the leader.

"Alright...," she said, defeated.

Feng Yichen soon said, "Just letting you know, don't expect much from me."

"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We know," Zhu Haoran said, brushing it off as if it was nothing new.

Feng Yichen scoffed before getting up to leave since there was no point in staying there any longer.

"Hey, wait for us," Zhu Haoran hollered. He looked at Li Chyou as if he couldn't decide to stay or chase after Feng Yichen.

"You guys head out first. I will meet you guys in the cafeteria after I finish signing us up," Li Chyou said. Zhu Haoran wanted to say something, but Xiaodan spoke first.

"Don't worry, I will stay with Chyou. You guys go on ahead," Xiaodan assured him.

Zhu Haoran was relieved before he and Wu Mingze left after Feng Yichen.

Once Li Chyou finished signing them up, Xiaodan and Li Chyou headed to the cafeteria.

____

After they finished their lunch, they decided to start the group project. They chose Li Chyou's favorite spot, the library. Once everyone settled in, they started deciding the topic and delegating positions and segments of who was doing what.

After an hour of working as everyone had their laptops and textbooks open, Zhu Haoran sighed deeply.

"Ugh, I need a break, or my head will explode," he whined, pushing his laptop aside and stretching his arms out before pulling out his phone.

"We only worked for an hour," Wu Mingze said, looking at his lazy friend.

"Come on, don't we need mini breaks in between," he complained.

Xiaodan couldn't agree more. She was bored out of her mind reading these textbooks. She had to make it look like she was helping them out, but actually she wasn't.

She didn't need to. With a swift of her wrist, she would have her assignment completely done. However, she will do that when she's alone.

"I think we should take a break, or else Zhu Haoran won't last until 5 today," Li Chyou with a small smile. Zhu Haoran eagerly nodded his head in agreement as he was not offended by that comment whatsoever.

Xiaodan immediately noticed Li Chyou glancing at Feng Yichen as an idea popped into her head.

Xiaodan smiled before suggesting, "Should we get some snacks?"

"Ooo, yes!" Zhu Haoran said excitedly.

"Mingze, let's go get some snacks and drinks," Zhu Haoran got up from his seat.

Wu Mingze glanced at Xiaodan and then at the other two before getting up with Zhu Haoran without refusing.

"I'll tag along too," Xiaodan said, getting up with them.

Once the three of them left, it was just Feng Yichen and Li Chyou at the table. Li Chyou saw that Feng Yichen was working but also on his phone. Li Chyou took the courage to open her mouth as she couldn't help but ask, "Why don't you strive for yourself?"
