Days went by, and surprisingly, Feng Yichen continued to listen to Li Chyou when she tutored him. Xiaodan was ecstatic with the progress they were making. She started noticing how comfortable Li Chyou was getting when speaking to him or how Feng Yichen no longer spoke coldly to her.

Oddly, Xiaodan and Wu Mingze had become close after that day. Lately, she has been comfortable around him since he knew her matchmaking; she didn't have to be wary of him.

Instead of heading to the library, they went to a cafe. As they were waiting for their drinks to be made, they sat around a table, pulling their stuff out of their bags, since they were determined to work on their group project.

While everyone was busy working, Xiaodan was busy reading her online novel from her laptop, and soon, the small black device that signals their drinks are ready started buzzing.

"I can go," Xiaodan answered before anyone could look up from their laptops. She got up and headed to the counter, grabbing the drinks and desserts. Once she arrived back, she started handing out drinks.

"Here you go," she said, passing Feng Yichen's drink to him. He looked up from his laptop before giving her a cold look. Xiaodan smiled, not minding it. He was the only one she still hadn't gotten close to yet.

"Thanks," he said with his ice-cold voice. Xiaodan just nodded her head, still having a light smile on her face, and continued handing the next drink. Li Chyou happened to notice Feng Yichen was still coldly staring at Xiaodan. She turned her attention to Xiaodan and noticed he was looking at her smile. While those subtle details seem to pass by, Wu Mingze happened to take notice.

After Xiaodan finished handing out everyone's drinks to them, she started handing out their desserts. Everyone except for Feng Yichen had a small snack on the side. Li Chyou had a small slice of lemon cake, Zhu Haoran had a chocolate croissant, Xiaodan had an almond croissant, and Wu Mingze had a cookie. Once everyone had their dessert, Xiaodan sat down.

Xiaodan was about to take a bite out of her almond croissant when she couldn't help but look at Wu Mingze's delicious cookie.

Wu Mingze immediately noticed her gaze before saying, "Do you want some?"

Xiaodan slightly nodded her head, feeling a bit guilty for asking.

Wu Mingze didn't seem to mind before breaking the cookie in half and giving her one of the halves.

"Here," he said.

"Thank you! Here, have some of my croissant," she said with a bright smile and ripped half of her croissant to him. For some reason, she felt extremely comfortable with Wu Mingze.

"Thanks," Wu Mingze accepted the croissant with a light smile on his face.

Soon, the sun started to set. Zhu Haoran was the first one to notice.

"Look at the time, let's call it a day and grab something to eat!" Zhu Haoran said, closing his laptop. Everyone looked at the time and agreed before packing up.

Li Chyou then remembered the notes she made for Feng Yichen as she was putting her textbooks and notebook away.

"Feng Yichen, since I didn't tutor you today. Here are some notes to help you with the test tomorrow." Li Chyou said, handing it to him.

Feng Yichen glanced at her and slightly nodded his head before taking the notes.

"Thanks," he said short and quick. Li Chyou nodded her head as a subtle smile appeared on her face. Xiaodan immediately smiled to herself, thinking the small progress was working.

Wu Mingze noticed her smile before a little smile appeared on his face as he pushed his glasses up to realign them.
