The very next day arrived, and Li Chyou was always the first one up in the mornings. She got up and started getting ready for the day. Today, she didn't have any class, but she and Xiaodan are supposed to meet up with Zhu Haoran and them to work on their group project.

Once she exited the bathroom, she glanced at Fu Xiang and Xiaodan, who were still sleeping. She noticed Xiaodan was coughing a bit.

She knew Xiaodan was usually the second one to get up, but she didn't look like she was getting up any time soon. Li Chyou went up to her.

"Xiaodan, are you going to get up?" Li Chyou said softly. Xiaodan quietly groaned before turning over and started coughing.

"Are you okay, Xiaodan," Li Chyou said, worried.

Xiaodan weakly opened her eyes and took one more cough. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'll get up now."

She sleepily rubbed her eyes and sat up. She didn't understand, but she felt sluggish as if she didn't have any strength to do anything.

"Are you sure?" Li Chyou asked again, looking at Xiaodan's pale face.

Xiaodan coughed once more, "Don't worry. I'm fine. I'm just thirsty. My throat is dry." Xiaodan reached for her water bottle above her pillow. She took a sip of water and felt slightly refreshed.

"I forgot today we are going to the cafe to work on the group project. I'll be ready in a few minutes," Xiaodan said, heading to the bathroom.

Once she entered the bathroom, she started coughing again. She covered her mouth and looked at the mirror. She saw how pale she looked.

"What's going on? Am I getting sick?" Xiaodan thought. She looked at her bracelet and saw the purple bruise beside it. She then tapped her pointer finger against the bell as it gave out a small jingle.

"Why am I not healing?" She mumbled to herself.

She soon washed her face but immediately stopped once she saw the three heart-shaped markings on her forehead.

"What's happening?" She thought. She knew she had concealed her markings. She quickly waved her left hand past her forehead to hide her markings; however, nothing happened. She did again, and a tiny spark of light flowed out of her bracelet, but before it could do anything, it disappeared into thin air.

She coughed, "Just great. Something is definitely wrong."

She stood there, thinking what to do since the only way for Cupid's assistants to communicate with each other was through their bracelets. She had no direct contact with anyone who could help her.

She covered her mouth as she started to cough more intensely and felt she was getting weaker.

"This isn't good. I need to get in contact with MengYao," Xiaodan thought.
