Xiaodan instantly regained her awareness and bent down to pick up the snacks.

"Sorry, my hand slipped," she said. She quickly composed herself and continued as if she didn't mind being exposed, "I thought I was being subtle."

She thought there was no point in denying it since he already figured it out.

"You're quite the observer," she said brightly. He was slightly surprised to see her honest reaction. He assumed she would quickly deny it like anyone would. His glasses reflected the light as he looked at her.

Since she didn't deny it, he spoke his mind, "Since you didn't deny it, I mind if you don't continue."

Xiaodan slightly tilted her head and looked at him. "Why's that? Do you have feelings for Li Chyou," Xiaodan said calmly.

"No," Wu Mingze said firmly, looking at her in the eyes, as she could not detect any lies.

"Who you are trying to involve in your matchmaking is my friend," he said.

Xiaodan looked into his clear eyes as she could tell how much he cared for his friend. She wasn't surprised. It only made sense.

In Feng Yichen's case file, it was noted how close Wu Mingze and Feng Yichen were when they were young. Since Wu Mingze was aware of Feng Yichen's family situation, Wu Mingze's family became like a second home for Feng Yichen, a place to go to or a place to call home until he was forced to study abroad.

"Don't worry. I don't have any intention of forcing them or peer pressuring them into a relationship. That was never my plan. I just think they are a good match for each other, that's all. And maybe with my little help, they will see how good they are together, but it's not up to me to decide. It's up to them and fate to decide. You can keep me in check if you like," she said harmlessly.

Wu Mingze stared at her. He didn't anticipate she would say this. It was different from what he expected.

He saw there were no bad intentions in her eyes. He found it odd as he continued to look at her.

He opened his mouth to test her, "Aren't you afraid that I won't tell them?"

She tilted her head, looking at him cluelessly.

"No," she simply answered, not afraid.

"Why?" He asked.

"I can't control your actions. If you do, you do. If you don't, then nothing to it," she said, not bothered.

She thought there was no point in wasting her time worrying about the inevitable.

"So, are you?" She asked.

He was lost for words. He didn't understand why he was being persuaded. He knew he should be on his friend's side, but he couldn't help but be swayed by her. He looked at the harmless girl and couldn't find it in him to utter a word.

Xiaodan continued to look at him, but she slightly frowned her eyebrows as she didn't understand what was taking him so long to answer her.

"I...will keep an eye on you," he finally spoke. She was slightly surprised to hear what he said before a smile appeared on her face.
