Chapter 7

Zhu Haoran looked beside Li Chyou and noticed Xiaodan.

"Who is she?" he asked.

"Hi, my name is Zhao Xiaodan. I'm new here."Xiaodan introduced herself.
"Also, I don't mind. The more, the merrier," she added with her usual bright smile.

Immediately, it caught the attention of both Feng Yichen and Wu Mingze. They both looked at her. Zhu Haoran immediately smiled and said, "Perfect! Then, it's settled."

Both Zhu Haoran and Xiaodan were carefree spirits, not minding the gaze of others.

In the far corner, three females glanced in their direction with resentment.

One female whispered to a tall, glamorous female, "Who are those girls, Xin Yan?"

"Chao Xing, I'm not sure either... Maybe they are new students?" Han Xin Yan answered back, glancing at them again.

"How can they be so close to Feng Yichen and them?" Wang Chao Xing voiced again.

"Right...," said the third female, narrowing her eyes towards them.

"Chan Juan, stop staring, or they will notice you," Han Xin Yan said.

"But... Xin Yan...," Zhang Chan Juan tried to say.

"Class is about to start. Settle down," Han Xin Yan said, sitting in her spot as their usual spot was the closest to Feng Yichen, where they usually sat.

Han Xin Yan quietly took one more peek at Feng Yichen as she had a long, unrequited love towards Feng Yichen.

Once class was over, they headed to the cafeteria and lined up.

"What are you planning on getting?" Xiaodan asked Li Chyou.

Li Chyou tightened her lips as she thought.

"I-I'm thinking of getting the soup," she said.

"That sounds good too. I was thinking of getting the chicken," Xiaodan said, tapping her chin with her pointer finger.

After getting their food, they all sat down, and before anyone started eating, Zhu Haoran cleared his throat.

"Alright, let me introduce you two to my cousin Li Chyou. Please be nice to her. If not, you will have to deal with me."

Li Chyou was startled by Zhu Haoran's remark. She looked at them and quickly displaced an awkward smile before lowering her head and drinking her soup.

Xiaodan couldn't help but smile at Li Chyou. Li Chyou looked like a startled little hamster, quickly scurrying away because it got scared.

"Cousin?" Feng Yichen said, raising an eyebrow.

"Mmm," Zhu Haoran nodded his head.

"It's nice to meet you. My name is Wu Mingze," Wu Mingze said with a polite smile.

Li Chyou looked up and nodded her head in response. She then glanced at Feng Yichen, who didn't seem to say anything but only took one look at her before eating his food.

"Don't mind him. He's a cold-hearted brat," Zhu Haoran said, brushing off Feng Yichen's presence. Feng Yichen just scoffed and continued to eat, not caring.

Li Chyou felt slightly uncomfortable, having all the attention directed to her, so she hurriedly ate her soup. Xiaodan immediately noticed it and knew what she was planning. She started to prepare to leave with Li Chyou.

Once there was a small amount of soup left in her bowl, Li Chyou quickly found an excuse to leave.

"Umm. Since I finished, I will be leaving first," Li Chyou excused herself.

"Chyou, when does your next class start?" Zhu Haoran asked, stopping her from escaping.

"Umm...around 3," Li Chyou answered.

"Aren't you heading there too early?" Zhu Haoran said, looking at the time.

"I-I'm going to the library to find some textbooks until my next class starts," she said, making up an excuse.

"Oh, okay. Let me know if you need any help finding the textbooks you are looking for," Zhu Haoran said.

"Mmm," Li Chyou frantically nodded her head in response.

"Li Chyou, wait for me. I have to go to the library as well," Xiaodan said, standing up.

"Also, it was very nice to meet you all," Xiaodan added, giving them one more smile.

Once again, the three men were stunned by her smile, and Zhu Haoran was the only one who smiled and responded back.

Immediately, Xiaodan felt something was wrong. She felt a presence coming towards her. Out of the corner of her eyes, Xiaodan noticed a group of ladies. It looked like they were going to casually walk past her, but Xiaodan noticed one of the females had an unfriendly gaze.

Xiaodan thought to herself, "I guess I'm being too friendly to these guys and already got some enemies."

She waited until the three females were close enough to her before she slightly stepped aside.

The female with the unfriendly gaze intended to bump into Xiaodan and spill her soup onto her, but it seemed she missed Xiaodan and instead got Li Chyou, who happened to get up from her seat at that exact moment.

The female immediately crashed into Li Chyou. Before Li Chyou fell over, Wu Mingze quickly reached out to stabilize her. However, the soup in her bowl flew out and landed on Feng Yichen's light brown school bag. Instantly, everyone stared at the soup stain on Feng Yichen's bag.
