Hey yall I'd like to announce that likely after the next chapter, riot will be leaving to join the US Army and that chapter updates will be a bit slow. This DOES NOT mean this book is getting canceled by any stretch of the imagination, I will be updating and refurbishing older chapters since we've gotten better at making them along with making a bunch of oneshots. Once riot gets back from boot camp and has time we'll resume normal chapter production. He'll be back in liiiike 3ish months so it'll be like the release times way back when chapters 1-5 were put out. Anyways that'salligotbye.

Also, we are aware we missed the chance to show off a certain couple getting offed in our gala chapter, so we revamped it, plus a little something extra. So please feel free to check it out.

Enjoy.

Sitting up out of the bed, Y/n yawned obnoxiously as he stood up, dragging himself over to the box of his things, grabbing the insulation suit, which had dried out over the hours. The best part about not sharing a room with V now was that he didn't have to leave the bedroom to change. Just had to make sure his door was locked. Putting on the rest of his clothes, he made a mental note to get a new shirt later. Hell, he needed a bunch of new clothes in general; wearing the same outfit for all this time made him feel disgusting. Not even able to wash them really. Stepping out of the room he walked into the kitchen, unsure as to why he was expecting anything, seeing the entire fridge empty, cleaned out to perfection.

The silence felt off, used to being harassed around this time, so with nothing better to do, he walked to V's bedroom, tapping his knuckles against the metal door. "V, you awake?" No answer. "V?" He asked again, a bit more louder in case it didn't go through, thinking she was either asleep or outside already terrorizing a worker, if not him. It was always a flip of a coin. Taking a wild guess at what her PIN was, he entered a random code into the machine.

Beeping, the screen flashed green before slipping into the ceiling, and admittedly was slightly disappointed it worked. Then again,, it's just a door; he wasn't exactly creative with his door pin, just using his birth year. "V?" He repeated like a scratched record, peaking his head inside and seeing the sociopathic drone unconscious on the bed, facing away. "I'm coming in V." Y/n made sure to announce his actions to see if she would wake up, but still nothing. Always the heavy sleeper. "Come on, are you seriously asleep?" Sitting down near the foot of her bed he shook her side, still getting no reaction. "Whatever, rest well V, see ya later." Standing up he left, letting V get her cat naps in, walking to the doorman's residence, finding Tessa relaxing in the spare bedroom, sprawled out on the bed, looking up to the ceiling with one of her arms dangling off the side of the bed. "You good?" He questioned with a slight chuckle, Tessa not able to answer immediately as she struggled to sit up, looking around confused, shaking her head to wake herself up further, looking almost drunk. "Uhhh, yeah... Just sleeping..." She grumbled, rubbing her wrist before looking up at him. "A-Anyways, whatcha need?" She hummed nonchalantly.

"Just wanted to hang out. You good? You seem a little out of it." He chuckled, sitting next to her. "Have you taken that helmet off at all? Maybe you're not getting enough oxygen in there." He tapped his finger against her helmet a few times, Tessa pushing his hand away. "Nah, I'm all good up here. Gettin' everything I need." She proudly proclaimed, Y/n giving a sarcastic look of disbelief. "Sure ya are. But anyways you didn't answer, you ever take that helmet off or did it get seared to your suit or somethin?" Tessa groaned loudly, flopping onto the bed. "Ughhh, all of you keep buggering about my helmet. Sorry I don't wanna inhale toxic fumes and die." She dramatically proclaimed, holding her hands up in defense. "Oh come on, that's a crappy excuse. Look at me, I'm not wearing my mask and I'm perfectly fine." Tessa hummed in faux suspension, tapping a finger to the helmet where her chin would be. "Hmmm... I'll think about it. Now shush, I wanna watch TV." She cut him off, grabbing her TV remote and switching to a random animated movie. Y/n lay down on the other half, the two watching the film in relative silence, with the occasional comment and rant about some scenes. By the start of the second movie, Y/n felt his back beginning to itch, scratching at the clothed skin, pausing when his fingers trailed over the two scars, glancing over to Tessa, chewing the inside of his cheek with uncertainty.
