What can a person do instead of killing someone because murder is wrong?
I control my anger as I look at Dareen when she entered the office.
"Who gave you the right to enter without knocking, Dareen?" I ask offended, Aurora still stunned from Dareen's interruption and her overflow of emotions.
"I thought it's normal or did I interrupt something important?" she says looking between me and Aurora.
"You think all you want, but here there're rules." I clip
"I'm sorry" she says nonchalantly passing between us, heads for the chair and sits.
I look at Aurora and smile apologetically, she smiles too and tells me "I'll be outside"
"No" I rush before she exits "You can stay, we have our session after a while anyways"
She nods and I go and sit at my desk, I find her following me to stand behind my chair.
My heart feels at ease at her presence.
Dareen fixes her with a stare "Are you going to stay here?"
"My mentor told me to so, I will" I don't smile, but her response made my heart do a little flip.
"Oh, so you're the intern" Dareen muses, "I've been waiting to see the girl, Mughrabi chose as his first student" she finishes.
"I am" Aurora clips, anyone won't notice the unease in her tone, but I notice it; she doesn't like Dareen.
"You look smart, I'd give you that, Mughrabi" she tells me and I nod.
"What do we owe the honor, Dareen?"
"I came to talk about the ball, your interns and mine; I told you that on the phone, but you weren't focused" she says with a pout, I suppress the urge to roll my eyes.
"What about them?"
A knock sounds on the door before Dionne comes in, but stops as she notices the presence of Dareen, disgust and anger flashes through her eyes, but she masks calmness.
"Good afternoon, Dionne" Dareen drawls.
"Hi, Dareen" Dionne clips then gives me her attention, "Mughrabi, I should take Aurora for an important announcement with the candidates, I'll bring her back by the time your session starts" she states.
I ignore my selfishness and the desire to tell Dionne to leave her with me, but now that Dionne knew about Dareen's presence; I guess she needs Aurora more so, I nod.
Aurora doesn't move till I looked at her and she did something I didn't quite expect.
She questioned with her eyes if it's okay to go so, I nodded again watching her look back at Dareen then heading out with Dionne.
My dove is smart.
