Aurora's tests came to an end and now we all are waiting for the results to come out before each one gets to the route they chose.
Except that my girl didn't tell us hers, yet.
A knock interrupts me as I sit at my desk in my office. "Come in."
I look up to find Aurora, "Dove? Shouldn't you be at home? Did you call?" she laughs as she tells me, "No, no I just wanted to talk with you about something important." I nod and she comes to sit like the first time we met here.
Our relationship is better now after we cleared everything out together weeks ago.
The month break we took made us realize that sometimes people need to fall apart from each other to know the worth of what they had and we did, both of us.
She is getting better and now she doesn't shy away from me, yes, she still did not say what I want to hear, but she now knows how to communicate her feelings better.
Also, she comes after each therapy session to tell me what happened, we became closer than before and that's helping me a lot. I'm sleeping better, not every day, but there's progress and my seizures almost disappeared.
"I came to tell you my decision." She says and I freeze then nod slowly as she goes on,
"I'll go back."
The gears in my mind started to shift as she laughs putting her hands in front of her, "For the holiday." She finishes and laughs as I throw a stack of paper at her.
I stand up and she does as well as I round the desk to wrap her in a tight hug. I lift her off of the ground and do a little spin as she laughs.
I lower her and she cups my face, I lean into her "I gave you my word, Omer. Yes, I know I'll work a lot till you get to believe me, but I am up to the challenge." She speaks with so much confidence I want to lean in and kiss the hell out of her.
"Are you sure you want to go back, dove?" I ask her tilting my head,
She nods, "I want to see my best friends; they're my sisters and my brother too." She looks down then up again "I don't think I'll be able to see them; my parents."
I nod, "but I came to ask for something else." She says and I raise my brow in question, "I know nobody; intern I mean worked in NV Valley after their scholarship, but" she trails away, "but I want to work here, if it is possible."
"Why, dove?"
"Because this place helped me a lot and I don't want to leave yours or Dionne's side."
I smile at her, pride filling my chest "Pick your position, dove."
She laughs and pats my chest, "No, you see where can I fit. That's after my results too."
"You fit anywhere, dove. Any place would be happy to have you." She beams at me and stands on her tiptoes to peck my cheek.
A knock startles us and Dionne peeks her head in and smiles when she sees us. "Ro, are you ready to go?" she asks and Aurora nods then opens her mouth, "I'm staying in London, Di."
Dionne's eyes widen and she freezes. "She'll scream, dove." I mutter followed by Dionne's squeal as she attacks Aurora with a hug causing them to stumble backwards.
I reach out a hand to support Aurora's back so they won't fall together.
"Fucking yes! THAT'S MY BITCH." Dionne cries as Aurora laughs.
They both squeal together for a bit then they leave to go to a small gathering Aurora told me about.
