Y/N's first day at Tomioka Industries had been overwhelming, to say the least. The grandeur of the building, the intensity of the people, and, most of all, the enigmatic presence of Giyuu Tomioka himself had left her with a whirlwind of emotions. But as she stepped into her office on her second day, she reminded herself that this was the opportunity she had worked so hard to secure. She couldn't afford to let anything, or anyone, intimidate her.

The office was quiet, with only the soft hum of the air conditioning and the distant sound of footsteps in the hallway. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm, golden glow over the city skyline visible from her window. Y/N took a deep breath, allowing the calm of the morning to steady her nerves. Today would be better, she told herself. Today, she would prove that she belonged here.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sharp beep of her phone. She glanced at the screen and saw a new message from Hiroshi: Meeting with Mr. Tomioka at 8:00 AM. Be prepared.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat. It was barely 7:30 AM. She had less than half an hour to prepare. She quickly logged into her computer and pulled up the schedule for the day, scanning through the various meetings and appointments that Giyuu had lined up. Everything was colour-coded and meticulously organised, a testament to the efficiency expected in this role.

As she reviewed the schedule, she noticed a few entries marked as "Confidential." The details were sparse, with only the time and a vague description like "Private Consultation" or "Executive Briefing." Y/N couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity. What exactly was so confidential that it couldn't even be specified in the internal schedule?

She shook off the thought and focused on the task at hand. There was no time for distractions. After printing out the necessary documents and arranging them neatly in a folder, Y/N grabbed her notepad and pen. She knew that every detail mattered in this role, and she intended to be fully prepared.

As she made her way to Giyuu's office, she rehearsed what she would say in her head. Despite his aloof demeanour, Y/N was determined to show him that she was more than capable of handling the demands of this job.

When she reached the door to his office, she took a moment to smooth out her skirt and compose herself before knocking lightly.

"Come in," Giyuu's deep voice called from within.

Y/N pushed open the door and stepped inside. The room was bathed in soft, morning light, and Giyuu was seated at his desk, his eyes focused on the computer screen in front of him. He looked up briefly as she entered, his expression unreadable.

"Good morning, Mr. Tomioka," Y/N greeted him, her voice calm and professional.

"Morning," Giyuu replied, his tone neutral. "You're early."

"I wanted to make sure everything was ready for today's meetings," Y/N explained, holding up the folder of documents. "I've prepared the agendas and any additional information you might need."

Giyuu's gaze flickered to the folder in her hand, and for a brief moment, Y/N thought she saw a hint of approval in his eyes. But it was gone as quickly as it appeared, replaced by his usual, stoic expression.

"Leave them on the desk," he said, gesturing to the space in front of him. "And sit down. We need to go over a few things."

Y/N did as she was told, placing the folder on his desk and taking a seat in the chair opposite him. Giyuu leaned back in his chair, his sharp blue eyes studying her closely. There was a silence that stretched between them, and Y/N had to fight the urge to fidget under his scrutiny.

"You've done your homework," Giyuu finally said, his tone still guarded. "But this job isn't just about being organised. It requires quick thinking, discretion, and the ability to handle unexpected challenges."
