Y/N's heart pounded in her chest as the five masked men closed in on her. Her body felt paralysed with fear, her breath coming in short gasps. She had no weapon, no plan—this was the end. The icy grip of death wrapped around her as one of the men raised his gun.

This is it...

But the shot never came.

Instead, there was a flash of movement, followed by the sharp crack of gunfire—except it wasn't aimed at her. One by one, the masked men crumpled to the ground, blood spraying from their wounds. Y/N stood frozen, too shocked to react, as Haruto appeared out of the shadows, a gun in his hand, his face grim.

"Haruto..." she whispered, her voice barely audible. Her body trembled, torn between relief and confusion. He'd just saved her life, but something in his eyes was different. Darker. There was no time to process it.

"We have to move," Haruto said urgently, grabbing her hand. His voice was cold, the usual warmth in his tone absent. Without waiting for her response, he pulled her along, forcing her to follow him.

"But... where are we going?" Y/N asked breathlessly, struggling to keep up with him. Her mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation. The way they were heading—it was deeper into the danger zone, not away from it. "Haruto, we need to go back, Giyuu is—"

"Trust me," he cut her off sharply, not even glancing back. "I know a way out."

Y/N's heart sank. Something wasn't right, but there was no time to question him. She didn't have a choice but to trust him—he had just saved her, after all.

But then, as they rounded another corner, she saw it.

A trap.

An army of men, hidden behind the debris of the collapsed ceiling, waiting for them. Dozens of masked figures stood poised with weapons, ready to strike. Her heart dropped, dread spreading through her like ice water. They were outnumbered. Trapped.

"Haruto!" she gasped, trying to pull back, but he tightened his grip on her wrist.

"Stay with me," he ordered, his voice laced with something almost... frantic. He was acting as if there were no other options, leading her directly into the danger. It didn't make sense.

Before she could ask any more questions, Haruto turned to face the men, positioning himself in front of her, shielding her from view.

Y/N's mind raced. How had they gotten here? How had this all gone so wrong?

---

Meanwhile, Giyuu was cutting through the remaining enemies on his side of the battlefield with deadly precision. His katana flashed in the low light, slicing through the air as he took down the last of the masked men who dared stand in his way. His breathing was steady, controlled, but there was a nagging feeling in the back of his mind—something wasn't right.

It was too quiet.

The chaos of battle had subsided too quickly. The gunfire had stopped, and the ringing in his ears faded to an unsettling silence. Giyuu stood still for a moment, his senses heightened, trying to figure out what was wrong.

And then, it hit him.

Where's Y/N?

His eyes widened in realization. He hadn't seen her since the attack began. Haruto had been with her, but now there was no sign of either of them. The unease in his gut deepened, twisting into something darker. Something dangerous.

Giyuu bolted down the halls, his heart racing. He searched the debris-strewn corridors, his sharp eyes scanning for any sign of Y/N. But the deeper he went, the more dread settled in his chest. Something was wrong—he could feel it in his bones.

Then, he heard it.

A scream. Faint, but unmistakable. Y/N's scream.

He didn't hesitate. Giyuu sprinted toward the sound, his heart pounding in his ears. His mind raced, flashing through a thousand worst-case scenarios as his feet carried him faster, faster. He wouldn't lose her. Not again. He couldn't.

When he reached the source of the scream, his blood ran cold.

Haruto was on his knees, bloodied and scarred, tears streaming down his face. The remnants of a brutal fight surrounded him, but there was no sign of Y/N. In his trembling hands, Haruto held Y/N's ID card, stained with dirt and blood. Next to it, a small, crumpled piece of paper.

Giyuu's breath caught in his throat.

"Haruto," he barked, rushing toward him, his voice tight with urgency. "Where's Y/N? What happened?"

Haruto looked up, his eyes hollow, grief etched into his features. He held up the ID card and the paper with shaking hands. "I... I failed," he whispered, his voice broken. "I couldn't protect her... again."

Giyuu's heart twisted at the sight of his trusted friend in such a state, but his mind focused on one thing: Y/N. He grabbed the paper from Haruto's hands and unfolded it, scanning the message quickly.

It was an invitation.

Bring the new ammunition supply blueprint to our base, or you'll never see her again.

Giyuu's blood turned to ice.

"They've taken her... again," Haruto choked out, his voice thick with guilt and anguish. "It's my fault. I couldn't stop them... I couldn't... I should've been stronger."

For a moment, Giyuu stood frozen, the weight of the situation crashing down on him like a tidal wave. Y/N was in enemy hands again. And this time, the stakes were higher than ever. They wanted his new supply of ammunition—something that could shift the balance of power in their hands if he surrendered it.

His jaw clenched, rage simmering beneath the surface. How could this have happened? How had they known where Y/N would be? How had they got to her so easily?

A traitor. There had to be a mole in the company.

But for now, the only thing that mattered was getting Y/N back.

Giyuu's eyes burned with determination as he knelt in front of Haruto, placing a firm hand on his shoulder. "This isn't your fault," he said, his voice low but steady. "We'll get her back. I promise you that."

Haruto nodded shakily, his hands still trembling. His eyes were red, and his breathing was uneven. "I... I'll do whatever it takes," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "Just tell me what to do."

Giyuu stood, his mind already working through a plan. But deep down, the cold fury that had settled in his chest wouldn't let go. He couldn't shake the feeling that this attack had been carefully orchestrated—that Y/N's kidnapping wasn't just bad luck. Someone inside the company had betrayed them, and he intended to find out whom.

But first, he had to get Y/N back.

As Giyuu stared at the crumpled piece of paper in his hand, a single thought echoed in his mind: I won't lose her again. Not to them. Not to anyone.
