I walk into the living room after being cramped up in my room all day. "Carla? Could I go to the library that's around the block? I just want to see what books they have." I ask. "Sure. Do you want me and Chris to walk with you?" Carla, our new sitter asks. "No. It's fine. I'll be back soon." I say, walking towards the door.
I put my shoes on before walking out the door. I've been wanting to go to this library ever since we moved here but I've never had the chance due to how busy we've been.
I walk into the library and accidentally run into someone. "Oh. I'm sorry." I say immediately, picking up the book they dropped, handing it back to them. "You're fine. I apologize, I was looking at the cover of this book." The guy says as I look up at him.
I smile at him before noticing there's a girl and another guy with him. "You look familiar.." The girl says. "I do?" I ask, my eyebrow raised. "Yeah.. you're the girl in my math class. The one who's really quiet." The girl says with a smile.
"Yeah.. I didn't really know anyone." I say. "You do now. I'm Miles." One of the guys say. "I'm Julian." The other guy says. "And I'm Isabelle. Everyone just calls me Belle though." The girl says. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm Lydia. I should go inside. I have to be home soon." I say.
"Why don't we show you around? This place is pretty big." Miles says. "No, it's okay. I don't want to take up any of y'all's time." I say. "Girl.. we have so much time on our hands right now. We can show you around a library." Isabelle says.
I laugh as they lead me inside, immediately taking me to the romance section which makes me laugh even more.

"That was fun. Thank you guys. Really." I say as we walk out of the library. "Anytime. And do you have your phone on you? I'll put our numbers in." Isabelle asks. I pull out my phone and hand it to her.
She puts their numbers in then she hands me my phone back. "Have a good rest of your day, Lydia." Isabelle says. "You too." I say as they walk away from me, heading towards a white car.
I start walking home, a smile resting on my face. At least I know someone in school now.
