My phone rings from my nightstand for the third time in the past ten minutes. I ignore it like I've done the other two and just continue staring at my wall.

I hear my door open but I don't look back. "Lydia?" I hear Isabelle say. I sit up and look over at her. "Why haven't you been answering your phone?" Julian asks from beside Isabelle. "Nevermind that. We need your help." Isabelle says. "With?" I ask. "We can't get Miles to answer us. And we really need him right now!" Isabelle says.

"He has stuff going on." I say. "What stuff?" Julian asks. "It's not my place to tell you that." I say. "Are you going to come with us? We need another helper." Isabelle asks, ignoring my comment. "Fine." I say, standing up and walking over to my dresser.

I brush my hair then grab socks and put my shoes on.

"Why do you guys need him anyway?" I ask as they knock on Miles' door. "Private matter." Isabelle says. The door opens and Dahlia stands there.

"Lydia!" Dahlia exclaims, running into my arms. "Hey, pretty girl." I say with a small smile. "Lyds?" I hear Miles say as he appears in the doorway. "What do you guys want?" Miles asks, his face dropping as he sees Isabelle and Julian.

"We just want to talk to you." Isabelle says. "Why did you two bring Lydia along?" Miles asks, rolling his eyes. What is happening here? "Because... We knew you'd talk if she was here." Julian says. "Fine, come in." Miles says, stepping out of the way. I'm so confused.

We walk inside and head to the living room. Everyone finds a seat around the room. Dahlia sits next to me, clinging onto my arm. "What do you guys want to talk about?" Miles asks.

"You know, Miles. You know exactly why we're here!" Julian says. "I don't really appreciate being called a slut." Isabelle says. My mouth drops. "I only said it because it's true. I don't say things I don't mean." Miles says, crossing his arms.

"If I'm a slut, then Lydia is too. She's dated the same amount of guys I have!" Isabelle snaps. "She's dated one!! And that one is me!" Miles argues. "Julian is my first boyfriend too!" Isabelle says. "Oh please! What about Michael from last year or that one guy from last summer?" Miles asks. "Those were talking stages. Those don't count dude." Isabelle says.

"You played both of them!" Miles says. "Dude, shut up and apologize! You're in the wrong here!" Julian argues. Dahlia clings onto my arm even tighter. "Get out of my house." Miles says. "What?" Isabelle says. "Get. Out." Miles says. Isabelle scoffs before standing up. Julian stands up as well, walking out. Isabelle follows him.

Miles sits down next to me, looking over at me. "Why did you bring them over here?" Miles asks. "What?" I say. "You brought them over here. Why?" Miles asks. "Okay, first of all, I didn't bring them over here, they brought ME over here. Second of all, why in the world did you call Isabelle a slut?!" I ask.

"She was getting on my nerves." Miles says, rolling his eyes. "And you called her a slut?!" I say. "Yes. I did." Miles says. I shake my head with a scoff.

"What's your problem, Lydia?" Miles asks. "I don't have a problem, Miles." I say. "It seems like it." Miles says. "I'm going back home. Call me if you two need anything." I say, getting up. Dahlia looks at me, her eyes begging me to stay.

"Seriously?" Miles says. "What?" I ask. "Are you going to tell me what your problem is or not?!" Miles asks. "Yeah. I went through a tsunami and my body is still healing but they decided to pull me over here and then you sat here and said I was the one who brought them over here. Maybe there's just a small problem, Miles." I say.

"It's not my fault Buck couldn't protect you." Miles says, standing up. "Don't you ever say that. It was a tsunami, Miles! He tried his best." I say. "Oh did he?! Because it seems to me like he was too focused on Chris!" Miles asks. "YOU WERE NOT THERE!" I yell, making Dahlia flinch from her seat on the couch.

"I didn't have to be there to see how careless he was." Miles says with a scoff. "I'm done with you." I say, walking towards the door. "Yeah, run away like you always do." Miles says. I look back at him before walking outside and walking back to the house.

What the hell is wrong with him?
