LUCY WANDERED around, doing a double take at the front door before mustering all her courage to open the contraption. the cool air fanned over her skin, instantly making her nose red from the coldness that nipped at her.
she hasn't seen you for a while, not even with jack and it did worry her for the most part. she felt excluded without you, feeling out of place being here. that and also the fact that you rarely share those sweet conversations with her anymore.
lucy stepped out onto the porch, her eyes catching sight of someone who leaned onto the railing. the floorboards creaked under the poltergeist's weight, alerting the certain someone who was apparently ani the wight.
omg this is the girl who looks pretty, is what lucy had initially thought, pursing her lips to suppress her words. ani had a lot of blue features on her, something that the young girl adored. once lucy had set eyes on her, she began to get curious of her character.
"oh.." ani relaxed after realising it was only just a child that startled her, she turned back ahead, assuming the kid would just go about her day. though it seemed the girl had other plans as she lingered there.
ani did take notice but she refused to acknowledge it, she doesn't have the best experiences with children and she was very awkward around the other pastas, what made her required to submit to the puppy eyes this random girl gave.
lucy's lips parted to say something but closed, she looked like a fish with the way she popped open her mouth. clearly the poltergeist was uncertain of what to say, though she was sure she wanted to talk to this wight, she was confident.
"um, hello." a simple acknowledgement was all she could muster, undeniably gaining the attention of the latter. ani turned her head now, her glowing blue eyes staring at the kid with wide eyes, mesmerised by the colour.
"hi." ani could reply stiffly, biting her tongue out of habit. as of now, she'd prefer to be alone. after jack had rejected her request of going hunting, claiming he was waiting for you to get back, she felt defeated and partially betrayed.
lucy caught on the gloomy emotions that the wight bared, staring up at the latter as if questioning silently.
ani felt nervous under the girl's gaze, god forbid children can be a menace, she knew all too well what they were capable of.
"uh.." the wight trailed off, unsure of what to do with lucy just staring at her. "can i help you?"
the poltergeist sighed, making her way towards the tense latter who watched with confusion. lucy casually sits down beside where ani stood, her legs going through the railings of the porch, ready to pour her emotions out.
"i miss y/n.." she started, solemnly staring off into the distance with a heavy sigh.
uh.. okay..? ani furrowed her brows, however she descended, mimicking the girl's position by sitting down now.
