chapter 83

Y/n's pov

I was getting ready. Today I am going back to work.
I am only 8 weeks pregnant now.
I can go to work and taehyung is avoiding me as much as he can.

Well I can't blame I am the one who told him to stay away.
It's my fault so I should be the one taking steps toward him.
So work is the only place he won't avoid me so let's go and talk with taehyung.

Let's not rush things and take one step at one time.
Firstly I will just talk normally.

I looked myself at last time in mirror and walked out of the room.
Aunt was placing food on the table.
She always stays with me.
But last night I told her to go early because I wanted to prepare dinner for taehyung.

Aunt: The breakfast is ready.

Y/n: Thankyou.

I sat down on the chair and start eating my breakfast.
After I was done I made my way to work.
Let's go.

Taehyung's pov

I was working In my cabin when someone knocked on the door.

Tae: come in.

Hena walked in and bowed.

Hena: Mr Kim..miss ceo is here.

My eyes widen as i immediately looked up at her.

Tae: y/n? You mean y/n is here?

Hena: yes sir. She just went to her cabin and want to see you in her cabin.

Y/n is back but she didn't tell me anything about it.
Why she suddenly decided to come back ?

Tae: ok I will there in a minute.

She nodded and left. I got up and picked up my coat before wearing it.
I don't know but my heart is beating very fast. It's been so long since I talked properly with y/n.

I have been avoiding her as much as I can cause that's what she wants me to do. She wants to be alone
Let's not think too much about it taehyung.
It's about work you have to face Y/n on work. Well let's put our personal feelings aside during work.
I sighed and left to her cabin.

I took a deep breaths before knocking on the door of her cabin.

Y/n: come in.

I opened the door and entered inside.

Y/n: ohh it's you Tae.

My heart beat dropped looking at her.
She was smiling widely and she just called me Tae again.
Only God knows how much I missed that smile and her calling me Tae.

Y/n: tae..where are you lost?

I was so lost staring at her I didn't realise when I zoned out.
I snapped out of thoughts.

Tae: yes!

Y/n: how have you been?

Tae: f_fine.

I said and looked down on the floor.
Why are you asking me how I am doing when you clearly know how I am doing without you.

Tae: when you came back to work? You didn't tell me anything about it.

She got from the chair and looked out of the window while facing her back toward me.

Y/n: taehyung I realised something.

Tae: what?

Y/n: I was just being stupid this all time. I was holding on to something I shouldn't. How long will I keep holding on to the things that don't even exist anymore. It's all my memories and nothing else. How much I am hurting myself and people around me and mostly you.

She turned around and looked at me with a small smile.
What's she talking about?

Y/n: I don't wanna get hurt anymore or don't want to hurt anyone. So I decided to let it all go. I finally let it go and decided to move on in my life. I can't run away from my responsibilities toward my work and toward you. I want a fresh start with you. I want us to go back to how we were..if I say it clearly
Not like we used to be but more than that.

What's she wants to say?
I can't understand anything at all.
My mind is blank.

Y/n: so Tae I...

Before y/n could continue her words someone knocked on the door.

Y/n: come in.

Hena: mam sorry to interupt but the shareholders are already Here for the meeting about the new project.

Y/n: ohh yes! I almost forgot we will be there in a minute.

Hena nodded and left.

Y/n: tae let's talk about it later first lets get our work done. I will be leaving first you come fast too.

She said and left the cabin leaving me alone. I looked down on the floor.
What's she wanted to say? I...what?

Tae: why are you confusing me y/n? What I am supposed to do?

Author's pov

The meeting was over and everyone were heading out of the meeting room.
When hena walked to y/n and taehyung.

Hena: Miss Kim! There's a call from busan's branch.

Tae: what is it about?

Y/n take the phone from hena's hand.

Y/n: hello?how?

Tae looked at her a little confused.
Y/n sighed and said.

Y/n: ok I will be there.

Y/n hang up the call and looked at taehyung.

Tae: what happened?

Y/n: There was accident on the working site. Many were injured and there were a lot of loss to the property and material. I need to go there to check the damage and also to compensate the Injured workers.  So I will be leaving soon for busan.

Tae: I will come with you then.

Y/n: no it's fine you stay here and handle the work here. I will be back in few days maximum in a week.

Y/n said and picked up her bag.

Tae: will you be okay there alone?

Y/n chuckled and looked at taehyung.

Y/n: I will be okay and there's Mr Lee who will help me. Don't worry I will be fine and it'd only for a week.

Taehyung nodded but he was still concerned about y/n.
He wanted to go with y/n but he decided  not to.

There were only y/n and taehyung in the meeting room.
Y/n picked her all stuff and was about to  leave when she turned around to look at taehyung.

Y/n: I will be leaving then.

She was about to leave when taehyung stopped her.

Tae: what you were saying earlier?

Y/n: huh? When?

Tae: e_earlier..in your cabin.

Tae said hesitantly looking away avoiding eye contact.

Y/n: ohh..that.

Y/n walked forward toward y/n.

Y/n: but I am leaving now...so I will tell you after I will come back. Make sure you come to pick me up at the airport.
I will tell you what I was about to say. 

Tae: just tell me now.

Y/n: no..I will tell you after coming back. Just make sure to come pick me up at the airport.

Tae: I promise to come.

Y/n smiled and walked away to the door to leave but before leaving she turned around and said.

Y/n: make sure you fulfill your promise.

Tae: I will.

Y/n gave him a smile last time and left.
Taehyung placed his hand on the chest feeling his heart beat getting faster and faster.

Tae: why do I feel anxious and relief at the same time?
