Jennie's POV:
"Kaleb, come here!" I called out as I chased after my little ball of energy. He was running around the room, giggling uncontrollably.
"Kaleb, Mommy needs to get you dressed!" I said, trying to sound firm but failing miserably because of his infectious laughter.
He had just finished his bath, and I was attempting to get him into his clothes, but Kaleb had other plans. He dodged my every move, making it a game of hide and seek.
"Mommy, you can’t catch me!" Kaleb squealed, darting behind the bed.
I sighed dramatically, putting my hands on my hips.
"Oh no, what will Mommy do if she can’t catch her little bunny?" I said, playing along.
Finally, I caught him, scooping him up into my arms as he squealed in delight. "Got you!" I said, tickling his belly before setting him down on the bed to get him dressed.
"Mommy, can I wear the dinosaur shirt?" he asked, his eyes wide with excitement.
"Of course, baby," I replied, grabbing the green shirt with a friendly-looking dinosaur on it. I quickly slipped it over his head, followed by his favourite pair of jeans.
As I finished dressing him, Ahyeon came in with Kaleb's backpack, filled with everything we might need for the day.
"I packed his snacks, extra clothes, wipes, his favourite toys, and a bottle of water," she said, handing me the bag.
"Thanks, Ahyeon," I said, giving her a grateful smile.
"You're a lifesaver."She winked at me. "No problem, Unnie. Anything for my little nephew."
I turned to Kaleb, who was now busy playing with his toy car.
"Kaleb, what do we say to Tita Ahyeon for helping us?" I prompted.
Kaleb looked up with a bright smile. "Thank you, Tita Ahyeon!" he said, running over to give her a hug.
Ahyeon chuckled, hugging him back. "You’re welcome, Kaleb. Be good for Mommy, okay?"
"I will!" Kaleb promised, bouncing on his feet.
I knelt down to his level, making sure his shoes were on properly.
"Alright, Kaleb. Let’s go over what we have in your bag. We’ve got your snacks, extra shirts, pants, socks, your favourite toy, wipes, and your water bottle. Did I miss anything?"
Kaleb’s eyes lit up. "Teddy! We need Teddy, Mommy!"
I smiled and ruffled his hair."Of course, we can’t forget Teddy." I quickly grabbed his stuffed bear from the bed and handed it to him. "Now we’re all set."
