Jennie's POV:
Kaleb's joyful shout of "Catch me, Dada!" echoed through the living room as he dashed around, his laughter filling the air.Lisa playfully chased after him, clearly enjoying their game of hide and seek. I smiled from the kitchen, where I was preparing dinner, glancing over at them every so often.
"You're too fast for me, Kaleb!" Lisa called out, pretending to be out of breath as she slowed down, only to make Kaleb giggle louder and run even faster.
"Come on, Dada, you can do it!" Kaleb encouraged, peeking out from behind the couch with a grin.
"You think so, buddy?" Lisa replied with a mischievous smile before lunging playfully toward him, making Kaleb squeal with delight.
I watched them, my heart swelling with happiness. Seeing Lisa and Kaleb bond like this, seeing her so naturally step into his life and into our lives, made everything feel so right.
Lisa and I finally made everything official. We started living together, and it feels like the natural next step in our journey. Lisa introduced me and Kaleb to her parents, and they were overjoyed. They welcomed us with open arms, immediately doting on Kaleb and asking us to visit them more often. We promised to make it a regular thing, visiting every weekend. It felt so good to be embraced by her family, knowing that Kaleb would grow up surrounded by so much love.
Irene also visited Seulgi for a month, and during that time, we had a get-together with Jisoo and Rosé. It was nice to reconnect with friends to see how everyone’s lives have evolved. There was laughter, shared memories, and a sense of comfort that only old friends could bring.
Living with Lisa has been everything I hoped for. We’ve settled into a rhythm that feels right. Whenever we have work, I bring Kaleb to my parents’ home or sometimes to Lisa’s parents, and both sets of grandparents are more than happy to spend time with him. Seeing the joy in their eyes when they’re with Kaleb makes me realize how blessed we are.
After dinner, Lisa took care of everything—she bathed Kaleb and tucked him into bed. She’s so hands-on with him, and it warms my heart every time I see it. I was sitting on the couch, working on a design on my iPad, when I felt someone wrap their arms around me from behind."Your son is sleeping," Lisa whispered, resting her chin on my shoulder.
"And then?" I asked her teasingly, unable to suppress a smile.
"And then…" she trailed off, her voice playful as she nuzzled closer. "I thought I’d come to check on my other baby."
"Oh?" I turned slightly to face her, my heart fluttering at the sight of her soft smile. "And what does your other baby need?"
"I think she needs a break from work," Lisa murmured, her lips brushing against my ear. "Maybe a little cuddle time?"
I chuckled, setting my iPad aside. "You really know how to distract me, don’t you?"
