Jennie's POV:
As I double-checked the picnic basket, making sure we had everything we needed for our day at Seoul Forest Park, I could hear soft murmurs coming from the living room. Curious, I peeked around the corner and saw Lisa and Kaleb sitting together on the floor, their heads close as if they were having some kind of serious conversation. The sight made me smile."What are you guys talking about?" I teased, walking over to them with a playful grin.
Lisa looked up at me, her eyes twinkling. "Nothing too serious, just a little man-to-man talk,"she said, ruffling Kaleb’s hair as he giggled.
Kaleb nodded solemnly, trying to mimic Lisa’s expression.
We finally arrived at Seoul Forest Park, a place that always felt like an escape from the bustling city. The park was expansive, with lush greenery stretching out in every direction. Tall trees lined the pathways, their leaves rustling gently in the breeze. The scent of fresh grass mixed with the faint sweetness of blooming flowers, and in the distance, I could see families and couples enjoying picnics, kids running around, and even some people leisurely riding bikes. The Han River flowed peacefully nearby, adding a soothing ambience to the park’s charm.
As soon as the car stopped, Kaleb pressed his face against the window, his eyes wide with excitement.
"Mommy, Dada! Look at all the trees and people! It’s so big!" he exclaimed, his little hands tapping on the glass.
I couldn’t help but smile at his enthusiasm.
"I see it, baby. We’re going to have so much fun today," I said, turning to look at Lisa, who was already getting out of the car.
Lisa opened the trunk and started gathering our picnic things—blankets, a basket full of food, and Kaleb’s favourite toys.
"Alright, let’s find the perfect spot," she said with a smile, slinging the bag over her shoulder and picking up the basket.
I took Kaleb’s hand in mine, feeling his tiny fingers grip mine tightly as we began walking toward the heart of the park.
