As Christmas grows closer, Joe finds himself more worried Addie won't make it home for the holiday. Thanksgiving without her was bad enough. He had already put the decorations up without her. Sure, the girls being there helped, but it wasn't the same. Life just isn't as enjoyable. He's been trying to stay positive, knowing that he has so much to be grateful for. The girls are healthy and well, for the most part happy. He's healthy. His family is healthy and happy. But still missing one piece of the puzzle throws him completely for a loop.

Walking the streets of New York, Joe finds himself picking up the last bit of gifts for the girls as he does so, finding some stuff he thinks only Addie would think to pick up for them, planning to sign her name and tell them mommy sent them. He knows she probably wants to, but also knows she can't risk any sort of communication. Or... that's what he assumes at least.

For the last stop of the day, Joe can't help but to pick up the perfect present for Addison. Knowing she more than likely won't be there for the holiday but needing to pick something up for her anyway. On his way home, he starts thinking more and more about the present.

It'll be more of a welcome home gift rather than a Christmas present. He'll also need to get her a present for her birthday. Wait... will she be gone that long? It's already been over three months. If she's gone past her birthday that's another two. How long is he actually going to have to be alone with the girls? They miss their mommy and to be honest, he's struggling more now than ever. Sure, he's good at hiding it but especially now that they're done touring for a while and back in their own home... it's taking a toll. Being in their space everyday where they've always taken care of the kids together. The girls looking around and seeing pictures of mommy and the things that belong to her. Even Delphine's starting to ask for her more. Seeing the pictures she's constantly looking at them and saying her name. It's getting harder and harder to keep going every day the way he has. But he knows he has to. For his girls. One day she will be back... he hopes. And when she arrives, hopefully, he wants her to know that he was present, he was available to them, he was everything she needed him to be while she was gone.

He finds himself straightening his back at this realization.

If she can leave them and do what she needs to do every day to try and get home to them, which he assumes she's doing because there is no way in hell Addison would ever just leave them without purpose... then he can keep going with the girls. He can keep pushing through and be the best dad he can be. He can keep going and be there for them when she is quite literally not able to be.

Arriving home, Joe enters the building, ready to head into his home when he instead turns the corner into a seemingly empty hallway, licking his lips.

"Who are you and why the hell are you following me?"

Nothing.

Joe scoffs, shaking his head and walking further in, turning into a small area and cornering the person.

"Who are you and why the hell are you following me?" He asks again, darker this time, slower.

Nothing.

Frustrated, Joe looks around, taking a step closer. "Listen, I've noticed you a few different times now. You've been following me, and I've seen you watching my kids. If you don't answer my-

"Your wife sent me," she says, a smirk on her lips.

Joe stops, furrowing his brows. "What?"

"My name is Londyn," she says, her smirk dropping. "And I'm following you because your wife sent me to look after you and your daughters."

His heart racing, his eyes search hers for an indication of lying, finding nothing within them. "A-Addie sent you?"

She nods. "Yes."
