I hate not knowing information. Especially when someone who knows the information I want to know is sitting right next to me but not making a peep. I want to know who they are. I want to know why they took me from Kyle. Why they killed him. Why it was so nonchalant.

Exiting the car from his side, my car door opens just a few seconds later, making me look at him, confused.

"We're here," he says simply, gesturing for me to exit the vehicle.

I slowly exit the car, my feet landing on the ground as I look over to where we are, my face falling in realization.

"William."

"Mr. Johnson would like to see you in the dining area," he informs me. "He says if you'd like to shower first we can arrange it."

"That won't be necessary," I reply, taking a couple steps before licking my lips. "Thank you."

He nods and I make my way to the front door, opening it smoothly before closing it behind myself and slowly making my way to the dining area, slowly walking in, William sitting at the head of the table, simply eating.

What time is it?

I turn to the clock on the wall. Six. Dinner time.

Turning back to him, I lick my lips, waiting for him to speak first.

"Mrs. Jonas," he says, grinning as he lifts his head to me, holding his silverware loosely in his hands. "Hello."

"Mr. Johnson," I respond, my tone professional.

He chuckles. "Addison..." he raises a brow. "If I can still call you by your name."

"Only if I can still call you by yours," I tell him.

He smirks, nodding. "Very well. Please sit. Eat with me."

"Where's your wife?" I ask simply.

"Out with the girls," he shrugs. "It's her night out without me tonight."

I nod, taking a few steps toward the table and sitting at the empty place I assume is for me.

"Please," he says after a few moments, gesturing to the food. "Eat. I don't assume they fed you. You must be starving."

I sigh, licking my lips and sighing, making myself a plate before eating along with him.

"So," he says once we're both near done. "Do you mind catching me up?"

I raise my brows.

He chuckles. "I doubt someone went out to New York or California just to take you to trade you for something. You've been here."

I nod. "I have... but you knew that."

He raises a brow.

"You know everything, William. I'm supposed to believe you didn't know I was here?"

He chuckles, shrugging. "Okay, fine, I knew you were here. I didn't know why. I still don't. I'm intrigued."

I sigh, licking my lips. "Why were you the one to get me out?"

He licks his lips. "Well, Jaclyn and Stella reached out to me. Said you had gone missing, and they had no idea how to find you. No idea on who could've done it."

"And you did?"

"No," she shakes his head. "But Kyle doesn't just trade anything with anyone and upon finding out it was a person... I had my ideas.... and here you are."

"Did you figure out who had me in the first place?"

He shakes his head. "No. They, oddly enough, stayed anonymous through the trade. I'm not sure who they are."
