Three weeks of agonizing research has led me to my final conclusion.

Jason Crew has been threatening my family. And God won't he suffer for it.

After three weeks of researching day and night, whether Stella approved of my lack of sleep or not, I've found a mound of evidence leading to Jason. In fact, I think the only reason I had never considered it to begin with is because I knew how awful he was at this before. Which does bring some doubt. Though I know it's him who's been threatening us, sending the notes, trying to steal my daughter, rammed into me at an intersection, and somehow managed to get someone to poison me in the hospital... it's hard to believe he's been doing it on his own. That being said, there's no connection between him and Charles... or Jacob. So, I have no other choice. I need this to be over and if that means accepting the fact that Jason Crew, the man who sucked royally at everything he was told to do, pulled one over on me and did this to my family, so be it. He'll pay for it either way.

"Hey, have you eaten today?" Hope asks, peeking her head into my room.

I look over, sighing. "No."

"Okay, well, you need to eat. What do you want? I can cook, I can pick up, you name it."

I lick my lips. "I have no idea, Hope."

"Okay," she says, walking over and gently closing the laptop in front of me. "You have barely breathed since you talked to the girls three weeks ago. I know that call motivated you. I know you're getting to the bottom of it now. I know. But, you still have to stay alive which means eating... and sleeping. So, did you sleep last night?"

"I... dozed."

"No you didn't," she says, giving me a look.

"No, because I'm busy, loading up all my research and getting ready so I can go home."

"Yes, but again... you have to sleep and eat to live. Also, water. When did you drink water last. Not water filtered with coffee beans. Just... water."

I gulp, shrugging.

"Okay. I'm going to get you water. By the time I get up here, I need to know what you want for lunch. After lunch, you will take a nap."

"Hope-"

"No," she says, giving me a look. "I'm not sending you back to the girls with those unhealthy habits. No."

I roll my eyes as she leaves the room, opening my laptop back up and starting to type again.

"Drink," Hope says, setting the water in front of me.

I sigh, grabbing the glass and chugging it down. "There."

"Great. Lunch."

"El Fenix fajitas."

"That's so basic," she laughs.

"I'll only be around a little longer to have them and they're the best so..."

Hope nods. "Got it."

She leaves the room, allowing me to get back to work. It's also enough of a drive that I'll have a decent amount of time to research and gather information into a file before she gets back.

"She didn't catch on, but I did. Here's another glass of water. Sip it. Have fun researching for the next hour before she gets back," Stella says, taking the one glass and setting down another.

I smirk, tilting the glass to her before taking a sip and going back to the computer.

She knows me too well, at this point.
