"Go wake daddy up and tell him happy birthday," I whisper to the girls, gently pushing them towards the bedroom door from the dining area in the suite.
I hear giggles, running footsteps and then two little voices.
"Happy Birthday daddy!" they both exclaim, Delphine more copying Willa than anything.
"Oh my goodness!" Joe chuckles.
"Daddy!" Willa squeals, Delphine laughing hysterically.
"Thank you guys so much for waking me up on my birthday!" he says, playfully aggressive.
"Daddy no more tickles!" Willa laughs.
"Oh, okay," he replies.
"Happy Birthday daddy!" Willa sats again, calmer this time.
"Thank you, princess," he replies. "Where's mommy?"
"Wif breakfast!" Delphine says.
"Oh, yeah?" he chuckles.
Before long, the three of them emerge from the bedroom, Joe raising his brows at me.
"I may not cook but I sure know how to order room service," I grin.
He laughs lightly, sliding his hands around my waist as I slide my arms around his neck, attaching our lips.
"Happy Birthday, old man."
He chuckles. "Thank you."
"You're thirty-five."
He nods. "I am."
"You look," I take a step back, looking him up and down. "too damn good."
He chuckles, winking and wiggling his brows while pulling me back in, kissing me again.
"Oo, PDA much?" Londyn jokes.
We both turn, grinning at her.
"Sorry Lon," I grin. "I can't help it."
"Happy Birthday," she smiles.
"Thank you," he nods.
"You're welcome," she grins.
"Happy Birthday!" Jess smiles, walking out grinning.
"Thank you," Joe chuckles, gesturing to the food. "Breakfast anyone?"
We all sit down, Joe starting to eat as I put together plates for both girls, giving them to them and then starting to eat as well.
"Okay," I say after taking a few bites. "What are we doing today? Still the aquarium?"
He nods. "Yeah, I think that'd be fun with the girls and by the time we're done with that we should lunch and then hit the road for the show tonight."
"I hope the storms stop," I sigh, looking outside.
He sighs, nodding. "Me too."
As if on cue, Joe's phone rings, making him grab it and put it to his ear.
"Hello? ... Thank you ... Yeah, we were just talking about that. ... So we're, wait, huh? ... Oh, okay, so we're pushing the show up. ... How long? ... Okay so I need to be there an hour earlier. ... No, that's fine. ... Yeah, it's cool. ... alright, bye."
"Show got pushed up?" I ask.
He nods. "We're starting at 7 instead of 8."
I raise my brows at him, making him give me a confused look.
"What?"
I give the girls a side eye a few times, keeping my head turned toward him.
He grins. "Willa, Delphine, do you wanna go to work with daddy tonight?" he asks.
