I'm still not one hundred percent sure this plan is going to work. I'm worried that he's going to see through it, not believe I'm actually heading home, and try to prove me wrong by letting me go and catching me stuck in between decisions. Londyn keeps trying to convince me... but I don't know, something feels off.
Sighing for the millionth time, flipping over onto my opposite side and grabbing my phone, I open social media, Joe immediately popping up on my screen. It's clearly a paparazzi photo, he looks worried, Willa in his arms, her face tucked into his neck. Furrowing my brow, I flip through the photos, the scene showing a car accident.
My eyes widen, my body instinctively sitting up.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Flipping through multiple posts, I learn Joe was picking up the girls from the accident. Apparently the accident only included Jessica, Dani, Pri, and the other girls. Joe, Nick and Kevin had rushed to the scene after the fact, Joe hurriedly put the girls in his car and left.
No. No. No. This was not supposed to happen. They were safe. They were fucking safe. Nothing had happened while Londyn was there, what the fuck.
Climbing out of bed, I hurriedly make my way to Londyn's room, making my way to the window and flinging the windows open, letting the beginning of the sunrise shine into the room.
"Addie? What the fuck."
"Get up," I order.
"Why?" she groans.
"I need you to pack your bag and go back to New Jersey."
"What?" Londyn asks, sitting up now, rubbing her eyes. "Why?"
"The girls were in a car accident, and it can't be a coincidence. It can't be. Nothing has happened to them the entire time but all of a sudden you leave and they're in an accident?" I scoff, shaking my head. "Get up."
"Wait, Addie, it's winter. It could've been an actual accident."
"You're right," I sigh, shrugging. "It could've been. But there's also a real possibility that it wasn't and I'm not taking that fucking chance. I need you to go to my girls. Because if they are hurt I do not know what I will do with myself. Londyn, get up."
"Okay, okay," Londyn says, getting out of the bed and putting her hands up in surrender, her palms facing me. "Addie, I know you're scared right now but we need to think this through. You said you wanted my help with this."
"You trained me, we planned. Now I need you to go be with my kids. I've got it from here. Pack your bag, go to my kids. I need them to be safe. I'll figure the rest the fuck out."
"Addie-"
"Londyn!" I say, my fists clenching as my back is to her, my torso tightening as I try to keep myself together, my fear showing through my body despite my desperation for it to be hidden.
"Okay," she says reluctantly. "I'll pack and leave immediately."
"Thank you," I strain, forcing myself back to the guest room.
Within ten minutes, Londyn is downstairs, ready to leave.
"What's going on?" Hope asks from the bottom of the stairs.
I descend them, turning to Londyn. "Ready?"
She nods. "Yes, I'm leaving."
"Good," I sigh. "It won't be long; I'm going forward with the plan. Tonight."
"What?" Londyn asks, blinking, shaking her head. "No. No, you can't go through it that quick, Addie. You can't react like that. He's going to know something's up."
