Arriving at William's, Londyn parks the car, sighing as I immediately exit, slamming the door shut and walking up to the front door, hoping she takes the hint and leaves.

Hearing the engine whir, the car takes off, indicating I'm correct. Thank God.

The door opens, William's wife appearing in front of me.

"Addison," she sighs, giving me a grin.

"Hi," I say, a little stunned, giving her a grin.

"Come in, come in," she says, backing up and letting me in before closing the door and hugging me. "I hear you've had quite a time the past few months."

I sigh, nodding. "To say the least, yes."

She sighs. "William should be back any moment. Can I get you anything? Water? A snack?"

I shake my head. "No, I think- actually... water would probably do me some good."

She grins, leading me to the kitchen and grabbing me a bottle, handing it over at once.

"Thank you," I grin, drinking half of it in no time. "I needed that more than I realized."

She laughs lightly, nodding. "I'm sure. It looks like you may have been a little out of commission the past day or so."

I nod. "Something like that."

"Well-"

"I'm sorry to interrupt," a man says, both of us turning toward him. "Mrs. Jonas, Mr. Johnson is ready for you in the study."

I grin, nodding. "Thank you."

He nods, walking away.

"I suppose that's my cue," I sigh, looking at his wife again.

"It was so good to see you," she grins, hugging me once more.

"You too," I grin, walking away and to the study, knocking.

"Come in!" he calls.

Pushing the door open, I enter the dim lit room, noticing William drying his hands on a towel, grinning at me.

"Hi there," he grins.

"Hi," I give him a forced grin in return. "I suppose I owe you a thank you for your help today."

He nods, licking his lips as he gestures for me to sit as he does.

I do as well, crossing one leg over the other, my arms over my chest.

"Well," he starts, clearing this throat. "Jaclyn called..."

"Jaclyn called?" I ask, furrowing my brows.

He nods. "She was worried you'd do something you'd end up regretting."

"I-"

"She was afraid you were going to kill him, and it would change you."

I lick my lips, huffing out a breath.

"She was right," he says.

I raise my brows at him. "What?"

"You had every intention on killing Jason, today."

I gulp, nodding. "Yes."

"You, sweetheart, have never been able to go through with the task. Now, I'm not saying you wouldn't have. From what I understand you were a mere seconds away. Proves that a mother will do anything for her children, I suppose."

"He attacked them, and then threatened them a second time. I wasn't going to let him get away with that. He won't-"

"Oh I'm aware. Please, believe me, he didn't."
