-Aiah-

"Mariah! Aiah! Here!" I saw a familiar face waving from the crowd.

"Titaaaa!" I hopped with joy as I saw my favorite Aunt ---- Tita Alice.

"Gosh! Napakaganda mo na ngayon, Aiah! I'm glad finally you decided to take interest sa family business. Marami tayong pag uusapan. But right now let's get you some ice cream! Di pwede mawala yung favorite ng pinakamamahal kong pamangkin."

Oh! How I missed this! Being babied by my Tita Alice hits home! Finally, I got the breather I need. Kahit sandali lang, makalimutan ko ang mga problemang naiwan ko sa Pilipinas.

Tita Alice and I grabbed some ice cream and had a walk in the park. I'm so thankful at naka takas din ako kila Jeremy. Nakakasakal yung bahay nila, bawat pag kilos ko ay may naka bantay. Buti nalang at busy si Jeremy dahil nagkasakit si Don Ramon at hindi na siya sumama dito. I was lost in my thoughts when Tita Alice called my attention.

"Aiah, may ibibigay nga pala ako sayo." she grabbed something from her purse and clamped it in her hands.

"Close your eyes then in a count of three, open it. Okay?"

I nodded in agreement.

"Okay. One......two......three!"

I opened my eyes and saw Tita holding something familiar.

"Oh my gosh! Tita! It's Lola's necklace! Pano mo to nahanap?" I exclaimed nang makilala ko ang necklace na hawak hawak ni Tita Alice.

"Let's just say na may angel na pinadala si Mama at inuwi ito sa atin." Tita Alice smiled as she stared at the blue skies. Her eyes is full of joy na parang may kinakausap sa itaas.

"Although hindi na ito yung original chain niya and nasira yung picture sa loob, I'm still happy na naibalik ito sa atin. Kaya when I heard na bibisita ka dito, I decided it's time na rin na umuwi na ito sa rightful owner niya." Tita gestured na tumalikod ako and I obeyed. Sinuot niya sa akin ang necklace.

I touched the pendant and like a switch, I instantly felt the familiarity of having this necklace around me.

Bigay ito ni Lola sa akin before she died. This necklace is a reminder that we ---- I, should never lose our smiles kahit anong bigat or hirap ang pinagdaraanan namin. My Lola is like a ray of sunlight, palaging nakangiti, you'll never hear her complain kahit nahihirapan siya. And she's willing to help everyone sa abot ng kanyang makakaya. That is why I adore her, I looked up to her. I want to be like Lola.

I lost this necklace when I was 10 years old ata. It was when I almost drowned during one of my parent's business trip.

Buti nalang at may magandang loob na nag balik nito sa amin. Maybe it's destined na maibalik ito sa akin cause I badly needed something to hold on to right now. Masyadong mabigat yung mga nangyayari sa akin these past few days and having this necklace will keep on reminding me to just smile and face every battle with my head high.

"Let's go na, Aiah. You need to take a rest. Bukas, samahan moko sa office. Okay?" Tita walked ahead of me and sumunod naman agad ako. I was playing with the pendant when a familiar figure caught my eye.
