Midnight - Part One.

"Love, let her relax," Lynnette hummed, tucked underneath the Doctor's arm securely as his hand fiddled with different strands of her hair absentmindedly. Since their conversation the night before, he had taken to touching her almost constantly, more so than usual which Lynnette had thought impossible until now.
"One last try," He answered, ringing Donna's phone with the one on the wall.
"I said, no!"
Lynnete smirked as she heard Donna's voice snap instantaneously.
"A sapphire waterfall!" The Doctor exclaimed, desperately trying to convince her to leave her spa day behind for another adventure, "It's a waterfall, made of sapphires! This enormous jewel, the size of a glacier, reaches the Cliffs of Oblivion, then shatters into sapphires at the edge, they fall ten thousand feet into a crystal ravine."
"I bet you said that to all the girls," Donna mused.
Lynnette grabbed the phone, "Oh, he does. It's what got me out of bed this morning."
"Just that?" Donna teased.
"There may have been a few persuasion techniques used," Laughed Lynnette.
"Oi!" The Doctor yelped, gently pulling the phone from Lynnette's grasp, "Oh, come on, they're boarding now. It's no fun if I have to face the brunt of Lynnette's jabs on my own-"
"Hey!" The woman snapped, double-checking her brown contacts were still in place.
"It's just four hours, that's all," The Doctor begged, kissing Lynnette's forehead warmly.
The pair watched as people began to board the shuttle and knew they only had a few moments before they too had to go.
Unfortunately for the Doctor, Donna was firm in her choice, "No, that's four hours there and four hours back, that's like a school trip. I'd rather go sunbathing!"
The Doctor clicked his tongue as Lynnette patted his chest in consolation, "You be careful. That's X-tonic sunlight."
"Oh, I'm safe," Donna reassured, "It says in the brochure, that the glass is fifteen feet thick."
"I'd say it's time to throw in the towel," Lynnette hummed.
Her partner nodded With a big huff, "I give up. We'll be back for dinner, we'll try that antigravity restaurant. With bibs."
