Days have passed since the never-ending battle between the fallen angels and the angels. Azael has a new team now, Red, now known by his real name, Jaes, Eiravyn, Azael's older sister, Zan, and Iris, angels who fell from grace to become nothing but rebels of darkness.
The team is in a kingdom called, Valgunne, it hasn't been invaded by the demon lord of lust, Asmodeus just yet, and the Azael team is a step ahead of the demon lord.
They have set temporary resistance in Valgunne's luxury hotel, and currently, Azael and Jaes are in one of the hotels' spare room for training. Azael has made Jaes a crimson-red sword with black stripes on it, complimenting his style and power.
As they are about to train, Zan is watching while he's waiting for his turn.
Azael: Okay, I'm not gonna make this difficult, but wielding a sword isn't something you can learn overnight.
Jaes: But it only took you a month.
Azael: That's because I'm eager and a fast learner. But don't worry, with my experience, you'll be able to wield a sword in no time.
Zan: You do realize there's no point in him wielding a sword, I mean, he's already strong without it.
Azael: Hey, I'm also strong without a sword, but you don't see me giving up.
Jaes: [Nervously laughs]
Zan: It's not about you, Azael.
Azael: I told you, everything that happens is because I make it happen.
Jaes: So, you died because you wanted to?
Azael: That was a trick shot.
Zan: Sure it was. [Sarcastically]
Azael: Let's get to training, shall we? *In his head* I made a vow to myself I won't help anyone get stronger but me. I guess it's different with Jaes because at this point, he's my best friend. So, if I'm getting stronger, he will, too. [To Jaes] All right Jaes, come at me.
Jaes charged at Azael, attempting to land a precise attack, but Azael easily dodged and tripped him.
Azael: Looks like we have a lot to learn.
Jaes: Haha, yeah.
Jaes quickly sprang to his feet, his eyes sparkling with determination.
Jaes: I won't go down that easily, Azael!
Azael chuckled, his sword still at the ready.
Azael: I'm not going easy on you, Jaes. You need to learn to keep up.
With a fierce cry, Jaes launched himself at Azael once more. Their blades clashed in a flurry of steel and crimson energy, the sound of their battle echoing through the hotel room.
Zan watched from the sidelines, his eyes narrowed.
Zan: I know. He's waiting for Jaes to reach his limit to see how far he can push him.
As they spoke, Jaes stumbled back, his chest heaving with exhaustion. Azael stood over him, his sword still raised.
Azael: Enough for today, Jaes.
Azael said, a hint of a smile on his lips.
Azael: You're getting better, but you still have a long way to go.
Jaes grinned, his eyes gleaming with determination.
Jaes: I won't give up, Azael. I'll surpass you one day.
Azael's smile grew wider.
Azael: I'm counting on it, Red.
Jaes: [Scoffs]
