Azael, Red, Meliodas, and Clea are set on a journey to eliminate the demon lords. For Clea, it's different. She is looking to get stronger, and Azael expects she'll be his teacher. They had finally found the demon lord, but they ran into some complications, and now Azael is on a standoff with one of the demon lords chosen warriors, the blue-eyed demon, Lyraeus.
It's quiet, the wind is slowly blowing as there's tension in the air, Azael vs. Lyraeus is a battle that will test Azael's strength against the superior.
Lyraeus: Is that your weapon?
Azael: Actually, no.
His sword of light disappears, and he magically appears a different.
Azael: Come to me, Great Demon Slayer!
He extends his hand, and a purple magic circle appears. A dark black sword with violet stripes.
Lyraeus: Great Demon Slayer?
Azael: That's right.
Azael and Lyraeus charged at each other, their swords clashing in a flurry of strikes. The air was electric with tension as they exchanged blows, their movements lightning-fast and deadly. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the wind howled as if sensing the intensity of their battle.
Initially, the fight was neck and neck, with neither able to gain a clear advantage. Azael's Great Demon Slayer sliced through the air, only to be met by Lyraeus's swift parries. But Azael's determination and skill soon began to pay off, as he landed a series of precise strikes that sent Lyraeus stumbling back.
Emboldened, Azael pressed his advantage, unleashing a whirlwind of attacks that Lyraeus struggled to keep up with. But just as victory seemed within Azael's grasps, Lyraeus's eyes blazed with an intense blue glow as he focused his energy. The air around him began to distort, and Azael felt an inexplicable force pulling him towards Lyraeus. The ground seemed to tilt, and Azael's footing faltered as Lyraeus unleashed a powerful gravitational pull.
Azael stumbled forward, his sword wavering as he struggled to resist the force. Lyraeus seized the opportunity, delivering a swift kick that sent Azael flying across the battlefield. The young warrior crashed to the ground, his vision blurring as Lyraeus's gravitational push pinned him down.
The blue-eyed demon loomed over Azael, his sword raised for the finishing blow. But Azael refused to yield, drawing upon a deep well of determination and strength. With a mighty roar, he shattered the gravitational hold and launched himself at Lyraeus. He went for a strike but Lyraeus pushed him back with his gravitational push, Lyraeus went airborne.
Azael: [Grunts] This guy is so annoying.
Lyraeus's eyes blazed with an intense blue light as he unleashed the full fury of his powers. Azael felt an overwhelming force, both pulling him down and pushing him back, as if the very fabric of gravity had turned against him. He was pinned to the ground, unable to move or escape, as Lyraeus hovered above him, his sword shining with a deadly glow.
Lyraeus: You are no match for my power, Azael. [His voice dripping with triumph] Your determination is admirable, but ultimately futile. Farewell, young warrior.
With those final words, Lyraeus threw his sword with precision and force. The blade pierced Azael's back, slicing through his armor and into his heart. Azael's eyes widened in shock and pain as his vision faded to black.
The gravitational hold released, and Azael's lifeless body slumped to the ground, his sword slipping from his grasp. Lyraeus descended, standing over his defeated foe, his chest heaving with exertion. The blue glow in his eyes faded, leaving only a cold, calculating gaze.
