Yash's lips were still brushing Vanya's neck, his arms firmly encasing her as though letting go would dissolve this moment of bliss. "What are you doing here seven days early?" Vanya asked softly, her voice steady despite the smile tugging at her lips.

Yash's response came between kisses, a gruff murmur that hinted at both devotion and mischief. "Should I go then?"

Her hands instinctively looped around his neck as she turned to face him, her gaze melting into his. "And who said I'd let you go?"

Yash chuckled, kissing her forehead with a quiet reverence, his fingers tucking stray strands of her hair behind her ears. "I couldn't wait another day," he admitted, his vulnerability slipping through the cracks of his otherwise composed demeanor.

Vanya arched a brow, teasingly narrowing the gap between them. "So, the CEO of Singhania Enterprises took seven days to leave his office behind? The high boardroom will be buzzing-youngest CEO neglecting his duties again."

His smile widened at her playful jab. "The CEO is still at work-just shifted the location to Banaras."

Her laughter was soft yet sincere, her teasing tone giving way to an affectionate hug, one that grew tighter by the second. Twenty-three days of separation had felt like a lifetime, and the embrace they shared was one of quiet desperation and unspoken words.

Yash's hand found its way to the back of her head, his touch gentle yet firm. "Are you okay? You're feeling healthy, right?" he asked, concern flickering in his voice.

Vanya nodded against his chest, her eyes closed as though savoring the sanctuary he provided. "I'm fine," she murmured, her lips brushing his neck. Then, with a hint of reproach, she whispered, "If you could work from Banaras, why didn't you come earlier?"

He sighed, kissing her shoulder with deliberate slowness. "I wanted to surprise you. I've been working day and night to clear my schedule for the face-to-face meetings. Now it's just online work left."

"Are those Japanese leeches still bothering you?" she asked, mischief laced in her voice. "When I come in seven days, I'll show them their pla-"

Before she could finish, Yash broke the embrace, gently pushing her back. "No one will show anyone their place," he interrupted, his tone firm but warm. "That's not how enterprises work. We don't mix personal emotions with professional matters. Now, stop talking about work."

She playfully pecked his lips. "Okay, okay. But how did you get into my room?"

"Through the window, obviously," he said with a smirk. "I was testing if I could sneak in past twenty bodyguards. Your bhaiya caught me, though."

Vanya burst into laughter. "And you underestimated your head bodyguard?"

With an exaggerated sigh, Yash swept her off her feet, cradling her in his arms. "Enough with the questions. Let's sleep."
