Me and the others had arrived at the Pyramid with Clutch.
And he was exactly like I thought he would be.
"Your assistance will be very helpful." Zane said. Clutch fidgeted with his book.
"Nope. No way. Nein, danke." Clutch replied.
"But nobody knows what's inside. There could be valuable historical relics." Lloyd predicted.
"Treasures!" Kai added.
"Gold!" Jay gasped at his words "And diamonds!". Clutch just continued drinking his juice and shrugged.
"You are the foremost expert on ancient structures and your book, Booby Traps and How to Survive Them, is considered a seminal work." Zane complemented.
"Flattered! But still no." Clutch repeated. He continued drinking his juice. Yep, this is Clutch Powers alright.
"Professor, isn't there anything we can do to convince you?" Nya asked.
"Unless he's getting something out of it, chances are no" I inputted. Clutch nodded at my statement.
"Professor Powers! There's a call for you!" Dwayne interrupted as he made himself known. He held out his cell phone to Clutch.
"Now, Dwayne. I told you I didn't want to be disturbed." Clutch reminded.
"But it's...The Explorer's Club!" Dwayne informed. Clutch's eyes snapped to the phone and he tossed his juice away.
"W-What? Give me that!" Clutch instructed as he snatched Dwayne's phone.
"Ahem. This is Professor Powers." Clutch informed Cecil Putnam.
