Chapter 2

Unfortunately Annie was friends with Delly and her boyfriend. It was too late to turn back now, I already agreed to have lunch with her. They both give me glares. I see Delly open her mouth to protest but is shut of by the boy bringing his lips to hers. I bite my lip a bit awkwardly. My heart thumped against my chest nervously.Annie on the other hand was perfectly fine! Did she not know what these two could do to her! Does she not know!

"Guys this is Katniss, she's new to the school" Annie smiles at the group. I give a small smile and take a seat next to Annie.

"So this is my boyfriend Finnick" She points to a muscular boy with sea green eyes just like Annie.

"Yeah so don't try anything" Finnick winks and smirks at me. My eyes widen in disgust! Was he talking about Annie or himself! Either way it was still disgusting!

"He's just joking" A voice says from the other side of the table. A girl with long brown hair and a smug face expression.

"That's Johanna, but you better call her Jo, she does NOT like the name Johanna" Annie rolls her eyes. Jo nods in agreement and goes back to picking at her Mac and cheese.

"That's Clove and Marvel" Annie points to the boy and girl that were holding hands. They give me a smile and went back to their deep chatter they were having.

"Over there, that's Glimmer and Cato" She says looking at the couple that were laughing and giggling over something.

"And lastly that's Peeta and Delly" Annie points to the two that were sitting up the end of the table enjoying another heavy make out session. I sigh sadly. The incident still replaying through my head every time I see them together. Noises that I wouldn't really want to hear at a lunch table were coming from them. I basically throw up in my mouth.

"Peeta! Delly! Do that somewhere else please!" Johanna shouts a bit annoyed. They immediately pull apart.

"What is it now?" Delly rolls her eyes and gives everyone an eye.

"Delly please don't act like that now" Annie glares at her. "This is Katniss she's our new friend so be nice" Annie huffs, fierce showed.

"Oh, we've already met in the car park" Delly snorts. I feel tears coming already. I push them back and hold my breathe.

"Delly you can't keep doing this to people!" Annie screeches across to her. Delly pulls a smug face and shrugs her shoulders.

"She was obviously parking in the wrong spot" Delly sighs and rolls her eyes agin. "She needed the punishment so I just gave her a little kick in the nose" Delly twirls a piece of golden lock between her fingers.

"You kicked her in the nose!" Peeta half yells at her and stands up. Delly also stands up.

"Well duh babe! What's wrong with you! Don't tell me your on her side, anyways why not let me kick her!" Delly screams. The whole table goes silent. I stand up and a sob escapes my lips as I run into the girls bathrooms.

"Delly you went to far this time!" Is all I hear before I let out an ear piercing scream before completely blacking out and fall against the hard tile floor.

I wake up to the sounds of soft voices. I don't open my eyes though. I keep them shut and listen to the conversation.

"Dude you defiantly went to far this time!" I hear Finnick say.

"Peeta!, what's Delly done to you? You never used to be like this! You've gone from a good kid into a bad boy that's been drowning on alcohol every night" Johanna coughs disgustingly.

"I-I don't know what's gotten into me" Peeta stutters softly. His voice was much less harmful and it was actually soft and sensitive.

"Well can you please contain whatever it is that's taking over our Peeta Mellark" Someone els says.

"I guess, it's just when I saw Katniss get out of her car, I felt, weird and I didn't know got into me" Peeta sniffs. Wait. Is Peeta crying? "I didn't mean to push her over". Well thats the biggest lie.

"Peeta I think it's best if you and Delly stay away from Katniss... And..us"

"Are you saying I can't hang out with my own best friends?" Peeta says fairly hurt. I almost even feel sorry for him. No! No I can't not after what he did to me.

"Well... let's not put it that way..." I think Annie says softly. There's no reply. But instead there heavy footsteps getting closer and closer to me. Then I hear a door slam and everything goes quiet. I decide to stir a bit.

"Oh guys Katniss is awake now" Finnick says relieved and I hear footsteps coming towards the bed I was sleeping in. I open my eyes to find myself in a hospital room surrounded by the people I sat with at lunch. I guess I can call some of them friends.

"Guys what happened?" I ask rubbing my head.  Get no reply. Only faces of guilt and worry.
