"Hello?. . ."
"Katniss?" His soft clear voice answers.
"Oh Peeta. . ." I sigh into the phone shakily.
"Katniss, I. . . I I-" He starts but I cut him off.
"Peeta why are you calling?" I snap a bit too harshly.
"Katniss why are you in California?" He asks me sternly. I pause. How does he know that. . .
"Your sister told me." He says like as he was reading my mind. Prim told him?! My heart breaks. She would never tell anyone anything as big as that about me without permission. How could she!
"I- I needed too escape." I mutter into my phone. I hear him sigh. Not an annoyed sigh, but a half heartedly sigh.
"Katniss... Things have gotten really bad back here." He says shakily. His voice goes really high pitched and funny.
"Peeta." I warn.
"Katniss listen." He says. His voiced goes muffled and it sounds like he's crying. I stop stuttering. Something terrible must have happened back at home.
"Peeta what's wrong?" I ask nervously. He sniffles into the phone before letting out a big sob.
"It's Delly." He chokes out. I stop. Why would I want too here about Delly and his love life.
"And I would care?" I say brushing him off. He sobs again into the phone which makes me really nervous. What? Did he and Delly brake up.
"Katniss, you don't understand." He sobs.
"It's Delly, she's been kidnapped."
Sorry for the delay and sorry this is so short. School started and I have a ton of homework so bear with me. Also I have too update two other books Ali go with this soooo.
