"Hi, how may I help you at this time of the night?" A tall man wearing a suit questions. I have to mentally pinch myself from not fainting. That tall man was my father. And he did not look anything like he did a few years ago.
"Hi. . . I'm Katniss. Katniss Everdeen" He stares at me confused.
"I'm sorry- who?" He ask scrunching his eyebrows together. I stare at his big brown eyes for a second. He doesn't remember?
"I'm sorry I should have come here" I say backing away slowly. But as I do I clumsily tumble down the stairs, landing on my butt.
"Ouch!" I exclaim wincing. I catch my father staring at my calf muscle is awe. Then i realise that he was staring at my birthmark! My clover shaped birthmark. Is eyes go ten times there normal size.
"Bloody hell Katniss! It is you!" He comes marching down the stairs pulling me up into a hug.
Awkwardly I wrap my arms around my fathers embrace. "Hi dad" same scent.
"Katniss my have you changed" he says pulling away to admire me. Suddenly his face drops to panic.
"Katniss why are you here! Does your mother know?" He panics. I slowly shake my head. His face turns pale.
"Katniss we have to call her to tell her your okay!" I slowly nod before he hugs me again.
"Oh I'm so glad your here Katniss".
"Dad how did your house is amazing!" I say overwhelmed.
"Why thank you Katniss, oh there's so much I have to ask you! Wait- there's some people I want you to meet." He says leading me to the door of his full filled mansion. Some people? This can't be good...
