I wake up to the sounds of a heart monitor. My eyes slowly flutter open. My vision blurred at first then became clear. My friends were sitting there with worried looks on their faces. Annie was the first one to spot me awake.
"Oh my gosh Katniss!" She exclaim rushing over to me. She had tears in her eyes. Everyone els rushes over.
"I'm so sorry Kat! This never would have happened if I wasn't so rude to you! I didn't mean anything I said! Your my best friend, your our best friend and we love you so much please don't do this again!" She cry hugging me. I hug her back tightly.
"It's okay Annie. I understand. I love all of you and already think of you as my best friends" I tell everyone. They all give me individual hugs.
"Kat, why did you do it. Your better than this! We thought we lost you Kat!" Gale says hugging me. I could see the tears in his eyes. I kiss his cheek (friendly) softly.
"I'm sorry everyone. I really am. I promise I will never do that again" I say sitting up. I groan at the sudden pain at my right arm.
"They stitched you up. They gave the pain medication to your mother today when she dropped by" clove explains. I nod examining my bandaged left arm. Suddenly the door opens and a stiff looking Peeta walks in clutching a horrified Delly closely to his chest. A pang of Jealousy hits me as I see him comforting her closely.
"Oh Katniss! You awake!" Peeta walks over to Finnick letting go of Delly.
"Oh my gosh Katniss! I'm really sorry for what happened! I was being a bitch to you when we first met and I think we should start over" Delly says hugging me. Annie gives me a reassuring smile. I decide to hug Delly back since I don't really have a choice.
"That's okay Delly" I nervously smile. Delly bursts into sobs.
"I'm sorry! I really am! You were nearly dead!" She exclaims sobbing violently. Peeta quickly embraces Delly. He gives her a lovingly soft kiss and whispers something in her ear. Jealousy over takes me now. My heart beats even faster when Delly kisses him back! Peeta smirks at me with his eyes before leading Delly out of the room. Gale seems to pick up what was going on.
Peeta Mellark wants to play that game does he? He doesn't know what he's in for.
