As I open the door Carly greets me with a wicked grimace. I flinch and Briely pushes past me quickly.
"Get inside, get changed and get down here" Carly spits out at us looking at her watch.
"Yes Carly" I blurt and race upstairs. I quickly strip out of my swimmers and beach dress and put on a nice dress and do my hair nicely.
I walk out of my room and close the door, Briely greets me outside of my door and we stare at each other in awe..
"You look lovely" We say in unison before laughing. Briely truely did look lovely. Her hair pinned into a nice bun and she was wearing a lovely skirt and blouse making herself look very neat.
"Thank you" We say again in unison. As we walk down the stairs I catch Maddie staring at me. She snarled at me obviously comparing her to me.
The door bell rings and Carly goes mad. "Girls please, I don't want to see any phones until after they leave" She says, directly looking at Maddie. Maddie sighs and agrees before trudging out of the room.
Dad opens the door and welcomes the visitors. There was a man, a lady and girl that looked like briely's age.
"Children! Come here and greet our guests." Dad softly yells across the room. Briely tip toes into the room and stands beside me. Carly carries my brother in and Maddie.
"Kids, I want you too meet Mr Frank Webber, his wife April and daughter Lacy." We all shake hands.
"These are all mine, Maddie, Katniss, Briely my son Ryder." He explains putting an arm, around us. They continue talking so we walk out of the greet room.
Me and Maddie sit on the lounger in the living room together. Maddie looks at me without a snarl for the first time and actually smiles. AT ME!
