Warning: Triggering scene.

A strong stink made me stir. What welcomed me was the fusty odor accompanied by its musty feel. It was so strong that I could sense it without my consciousness. And then that pain that made me shriek and open my eyes.

Darkness was what I noticed first that made me close my eyes, thinking I was still locked in my nightmare. I took a heavy breath, enduring the pain that was making me question whether I was really dreaming.

An abrupt creak made my eyes snap open. The light through the gap illuminated the space, which made me gape at the surroundings. The place was moldy, with dark walls, ceilings, and no light source. It looked more like a prison used to torture people. I was so lost, dreading looking at the place, that I didn't think about the visitor.

"Looks like you are finally awake."

I froze in my place.

I would show you what an actual monster is.

I curled myself in the fetal position, remembering why my body ached everywhere and felt like I was ripped apart between my legs.

Tonight, you would know why they called me a heartless monster.

I trembled when the flashes of the night made me question how I could assume I had seen every facade of him. He used me like a ragged doll no matter how much I cried or asked for mercy. We have had sex many times, and I have endured when he was unhinged. But those times were nothing compared to one night of horror he put me through. That night, I realized he had always been careful with me like I was a fragile doll. What he did that night made me realize how much he used to restrain himself and why he asked how I was doing every morning.

"Did you like your new place, temptress?" I haven't heard so much mockery or venom in his voice. Even the times when we met first.

"Pl.....ease..." I sobbed, frightened to the core.

He moved and pulled me up in a flash, grabbing my arm. What came into my view was the blackest of irises expanding to its limits, glaring down at me, forcing me to lower my neck. The next moment, he fists my hair and tilts my head, arresting my gaze.

"Remember this, Adah, you brought this on yourself. Now fucking talk. What is Shariq's next plan?"

I shook my head, not understanding what he meant. I opened my mouth to say something in my defense, but I don't know what.

"You better open your mouth when I'm asking nicely. What did he tell you they planned to do after killing me?!" he roared, and I could only cry.

"Your tears will not move me, and if you really want to see your family alive, you better start speaking," he shoved me roughly on the floor.

"My..family?" I couldn't help but ask. Didn't Nauman say he saved my family?

I winced when the sharp pain ripped through me, and I had to clutch my abdomen. I slumped on the ground when it became unbearable. Fisting the dirt, I closed my eyes, wishing I was rather dead than to have to go through the pain.

I heard something dragged on the floor before I flinched, hearing the loud noise of a chair thrown on the ground. I couldn't muster up the courage to look at him. What remained before me was the monster who was out for my blood for betraying him.

"You have a minute. After that, I won't mind repeating the hell I unleashed on you two nights ago."

My eyes snapped open, and I whimpered, "I... don't....I ... don't know. I swear."

"Since when you are spying on me?"

"I...didn't..."

"What did Shariq tell you to do next once I was gone?"
