Wait for my gift.

I know that motherfucker won't keep quiet. The moment Hammad left with Sir, I had been checking up with my team for any infiltration. Although my hotel was guarded by the low-ranking men of the gang, I still had my team planted around the hotel in case of any danger. Sir insisted I should focus on my reception rather than co-ordinating with the guards, but I couldn't be careless when my hotel was hosting the entire Pathan gang. I can't take the risk when my reception night was a golden opportunity for RedWa to take action.

I glanced at my beautiful wife with lowered head, listening to Amma. I wish I could hold her in my arms and hide her from the malicious stare thrown at her by every hot-blooded man. I wish I could take her away instead of putting her in center stage. But even an ounce of my attention on her, my enemy will know she has become my weakness. The less I looked in her direction, the more she would be out of everyone's mind.

But I underestimated Hammad. He deliberately approached Adah to get my attention and the fuck he was successful in it. I had to send her away; at least I would be at ease knowing she was safe, even though momentarily.

"Where is Shariq?" I asked as soon as I sighted Ahaad.

That labrador will not leave his master alone, and I had been searching for him for a while.

"Hammad came alone," Ahaad replied.

I was still going through the security check when Jahanzeb's voice stilled me in the place, "The back door is broken. I think we have a situation."

I nodded at Ahaad to execute plan B when there was an explosion outside. Fuck!

I can't afford a mistake with a ballroom full of the Pathan gang. Good that I have set evacuation plans handy just in case something like this happens. I was confident Adah was safe since the room she was in, the entire floor was empty, and my guards were at every entry point to that floor. I had to make sure Sir was safe before I could focus on the mastermind behind it.

I sprinted to where Sir was, and soon enough, another explosion happened somewhere, the impact of which made the glass walls inside the ballroom rattle.

"Sir, we have to keep you safe," I didn't miss another second.

I hadn't even finished when a group of masked men barged in through the door connected to the kitchen. I frowned, not liking the surprise. My rage was simmering, threatening to reach my saturation point, but I needed to be in the element rather than getting riled up.

The guards surrounded Sir when the masked men started firing. The guests who were from the gang pulled out their own guns in defense while my team was busy hiding my guests from the business and escorting them out. My jaw clenched when my gaze fell on Hammad among the crowd, and I saw his smug look. He strolled away leisurely, confirming my doubt.

It was that bastard's plan. Though he won't dare to kill his father, I was unsure if he tied up with RedWa for this, and they might not hold the same sentiment for Sir.

"We have a problem!"

I touched the earpiece when I realized it was Tareq.

"Fuck!" I growled and stared at Ahaad, "You take up the charge here. Escort Sir and guest to security on priority. Kill anyone who stands in your way."

Barking urgent orders, I rushed towards the ballroom exit, ignoring Ahaad's shout. I know he was concerned about me going out alone, but I can't keep Adah unprotected, especially when a trained man like Tareq called out for backup.

"I'm here," Osama's voice brought me a momentary relief.

I shot a man in a balaclava mask and grabbed his armed hand, directed it to two more of his companions, and shot, taking them down. They dare to stop me from reaching my wife. To hell with catching them alive for interrogation. From their clumsy movement and lack of timing, I know for sure they were amateurs. Probably a ruse to hide the actual target.
