As soon as we arrive in the living room under the curious gaze of the family members.
《Well, now miss, explain everything that happened! 》
She asks me in Italian, with the intention of making everyone hear it, to increase the criticality of the situation, while she leans me on the armchair by the fireplace.
But I don't want everyone to know the details, I want to speak in German, so that the facts remain between us.
《Zio, we can talk in German for a while. Please...》
I ask him and he after a short sigh nods.
《Well, Uncle I went with Grandma to the market...》
《And I already know that, then what? 》
《Well, I met a child, very nice and we started playing together, then running around, we got lost on an uninhabited street and there I saw a terrible scene, Uncle...》
After a moment of silence he looks around and approaches me taking me in his arms.
《I'll take you to the room, there if you want you can explain to me if not don't worry.》
Uncle tells me, and I nod, hinting a slight smile as a thank you for understanding.
All the rest of the family was there waiting for Uncle Carlo to translate everything I explained to them but in vain, since I asked him to talk about it in private and in German, now that's reserved, and it's exclusively ours.
As soon as grandmother sees me in uncle's arms again, she approaches me with a worried look.
《Carlo... is everything alright? What did she say? And where are you taking her? 》
She asks in a shaky voice, almost close to crying, and very worried.
《Nothing much, Mom, just that what she went through wasn't good, so she wants to rest a bit, nothing to worry about.》
Grandma's gaze softens a little, and she fondly strokes my head with a warm and understanding smile.
《All right then, rest assured you don't have to say it if you don't want to, but know that the longer you hold it in the worse it is. Know it.》
Grandma explains to me in a soft voice and then continues.
《If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask, alright? You've been through too much for your age, now you have to continue your life like a girl your age.》
《All right Grandma, I'll try it》
I reply, and she confirms with another warm smile, one of those that make you sunny and happy at times when you're lost.
《Okay, come on I'll take you up.》
Uncle Carlo interrupts the moment as he continues on his way towards the stairs and my room.
《Well, now that we're apart, explain everything to me, even in the smallest details.》
He asks me while leaning on my bed.
《I'm already telling you to sit down because it will be a very long explanation.》
《And having said that he also sits on my bed.
