I start to unpack, the thing that makes me shocked is to find a framed photograph on the shelf, in the middle of my clothes, it shows Grandma Adelaide and Grandpa Willhelm, Aunt Beatrix and Jakob. Uncle Carlo is missing from the picture, but why... now that I think about it, from what I understand Grandma didn't know she had children, so Aunt Beatrix and Uncle Carlo didn't have Jakob together...
But why, they seemed happy, even though Uncle Carlo was always in the living room looking at the wall, listening to the football game on the radio, I never understood what he found funny about it, even though I never watched a game but just listening to one bored me to death.
Inside one of the suitcases among my clothes, there's something glittering, but I don't even have time to figure out what it is, Grandma Maria starts calling for lunch.
《 COME ON!!! IT'S READY!!!》
I immediately hurry to get out of my room, and for safety I lock my room and hide it in my pocket, I still don't trust Uncle Carlo one hundred percent..., except for Uncle Carlo, I trust him by now, but the others will take some time.
In the corridor I see two children, and a young boy of more or less my age; the first two are running towards the floor below, while the older one is walking calmly. As soon as I arrive in front of the stairs, I feel the eyes of the three of them on me, well I also understand them, they have never seen me or known of my existence, or if ever, that I am still alive... this is the situation I would like to avoid at all costs, but in the end the more I try to avoid it the more times it happens to me.
I go down the last flight of stairs and find myself in the corridor again, but this time there were a lot more people than before, and the bad thing is that the only one who understands me and whom I can talk to is Uncle Carlo.
But I can't only talk to Uncle Carlo, but I have to try to talk or converse with my other family members....
《Well, now that the little ones are here too, it's time to eat! 》
《Something Grandma says to all the adults, but also to us kids, although I still don't quite understand the language, I'll get used to the gestures and different expressions, as well as who you look at. And in the case, you use the universal law, which is often used in school.
Nodding even if you have not understood anything that the other or other has just said or explained.
It always works, even if you then pass as the one who doesn't give a damn, who doesn't listen and who is disinterested.
And that's not really the best.
Everyone heads towards the dining room, I follow Uncle Carlo, and wait for him to tell me where to sit, I hope it's next to him, I don't want to be around a lot of people I don't know and don't know.
《Linda, come. For this week, you'll eat next to me so that you can talk to me, or if you want to talk to someone or introduce yourself, but you say so and I introduce you. But then after this week if you don't know a bit of Italian, you make do, because another relative of ours will come, so you go next to the other children, OK. Now bon appetit! 》
He explains to me meanwhile that he sits down, and points me to the chair on his right, and I sit down, as soon as he gives me the good wish, he pats me on the head, in a joking and almost paternal way, at this move of his I can't help but blush slightly and sketch an embarrassed smile on my face.
