May extra happiness si Andy ngayon araw. It has been two days since he last visited Cristy sa kanyang hospital room. He would have seen her everyday but suddenly work has started to pile up. There was a security breach sa mga hospital files. Hindi alam ni Andy kung paano na nya naibalik muli ang security, but he was glad after working overnight for almost a day and a half.
Now that thing were back to normal, he was here to see Cristy. Ayon sa attending nurse ni Cristy, biglang nagbago ang negative attitude nito. Imiinom at sumusunod na ito sa payo ng doctor. Hopefully ay nakaka-recover na ito from the harsh effects of chemo.
Before entering the door, inayos muna ni Andy ang collar ng kanyang shirt. He made sure there was a smile on his face, then he pushed the door.
It was an empty room
Silence mula kay Andy, then confusion.
She must have been moved into a different room?
Mabilis na tumakbo si Andy papunta sa nurse's station para magtanung ng info.
Nag check out na si Cristy sa hospital kahapon. This was the answer he got. Parang binihusan sya ng malamig na yelo.
Napaupo na lamang si Andy sa malapit na empty bench. Hindi nya alam ang gagawin.
Biglang nabasag ang kanyang katahimikan ng tumunog ang kanyang phone.
An unknown number
Andy: Hello
Unknown: Hi Andy it's me
Andy: Cristy?
Cristy: Sino pa ba
Andy: Why? Bakit hindi ipina-alam sakin? Nasan ka ba? I'll meet you.
Cristy: I'm sorry Andy. I'm about to board my plane
Andy: What? Why?
Cristy: Take care of yourself Andy. I guess hanggang dito na lang. Andy, you are about to get surprised. Be happy, bye.
Naputol ang call at agad na tinawagan ni Andy ang number. There was no ring, the phone was off.
