Aragorn sat up dazed, looking around the keep. A huge gap now in the wall, rubble across the once clear field. Uruk-hai's pouring in through the gap in the wall. Reaching for his sword, he slowly stood, raising his sword to fight.

From up on the wall, Gimli sees the Uruk-hai charging into the keep straight towards Aragorn. "Aragorn!" Gimli called, jumping from the wall and into the swarm of Uruks. Gimli swung his axe trying to take as many Uruks down as possible. Until he was over run by the hundreds of creatures trying to get into the keep. Pushing him into the water, as they ran over him.

"Gimli!" Aragorn yells in concern, looking back to the elves behind him, he commands. "Hurl the arrows!" The arrows knock out the first wave of Uruks coming through the wall. "Charge!" Aragorn yelled, the most of he elves switching to their sword, following him towards the Uruk-hai.

Aragorn rushes to Gimli's side, pulling him out of the water. At the top of the wall Legolas bends down grabbing a discarded shield. Tossing it across the ground, running towards the stairs and jumping onto the shield. Sliding down the stairs, firing arrows into the Uruk-hai below.

Kicking the shield up, he sends the shield into the neck of an Uruk-hai. Landing on the ground, Legolas glances around the battle field looking for Naehlara. He lost sight of her when the wall exploded, from getting attacked and because of the smoke clouding the area. Legolas reached for his sword, finding the sheath to be empty. Swinging his bow over his back and unsheathing his two short swords, attacking the Uruks around them.

"Aragorn! Fall back to the keep! Get your men out of there!" Gamling yells from atop the Hornburg.

"To the Keep! Pull back to the Keep!" Aragorn yelled, commanding the elves. "Haldir, to the Keep!" Aragorn yells, trying to get all the elves back to the keep. Haldir nods to him turning back to fight and look for Naehlara. He watched the bomb go off, only knocking her and Aragorn because she cleared the elves of the area. But she went flying into the far side of the keep. Towards the Hornburg, but there were so many Uruk-hai, Haldir couldn't make his way over.

Down below Legolas and another elf grab Gimli, lifting him up and pulling him away from the fight as he kicked and shouted. "What are you stopping for!"

Haldir swung his sword, lodging it into the neck of a Uruk-hai. Aragorn glances up to check if the elves up on the wall had fallen back. Freezing as a Uruk stabs Haldir in the back. He swung his sword back, killing the creature that had just stabbed him.

Haldir stops for a moment, looking down to the wound, almost in disbelief as he turned towards the Hornburg. Another Uruk-hai coming up behind him slicing into him again. Aragorn ran up the stairs of the wall, as Haldir fell to the ground. Glancing around seeing his kin fallen among the Uruk-hai, so many dead. "Haldir!" Aragorn yells. Sliding to his side grabbing onto Haldir's body.

"Naehlara." Haldir whispered before his head rolled back and he was gone. Aragorn squeezed his eyes shut, pressing his forehead against Haldir's.

At the gate of the keep, the king and his commanders try to support the gate which is under heavy attack. The Uruk-hai's axes breaking through the wood and splintering the gate. Theoden stabs at the Uruk-hai, when suddenly a spear stabs into his shoulder. Gamling grabbing the king and pulling him away to safety.

"Make way! We cannot hold them much longer." Gamling says to the King.

"Hold them!" Theoden shouts to the soldiers.

Aragorn makes his way to the gate, looking to the king. "How long do you need?" He questions.

"As long as you can give me!" Theoden answers.
