Elrond rode fast across the lands of Rohan, trying to get to Dunharrow in time. The camp around the bottom of the mountain side was growing closer, thousands of riders resting before riding off to Gondor the next morning. A top of mountain side, where the king and his council men would have their tents set up, Elrond could see Legolas watching him. Galloping up the mountain side, he dismounted his horse, turning to Legolas. A sword in the Woodland Prince's hand pointed right at him. Confusion grew in Elrond as he notices he was wielding Queen Naehlara's sword.

"Who are you? And why do you hide in the dark?" Legolas questioned, not lowering his sword.

"Prince Legolas put your sword down." Elrond commanded, pulling the hood of his cloak down. Legolas immediately lowered the sword and sheathed it.

"What are you doing here? If I may ask my Lord." Legolas questioned. Did he come to help fight at Gondor, he couldn't help but question, to hope.

"I come here to speak to Aragorn." He explained, his eyes flickering the sheathed sword at Legolas hip. "Where is Lady Naehlara?"

Legolas body tightened, his stomach turning remembering that no one knew where she was at the moment or how she is doing. "She left to Greenwood to convince the elves to come aid Gondor." Legolas explained, his voice sounding distance. Elrond could see the fear and nervousness within Legolas, even with his hundreds of years of learning to mask those kind of emotions.

"Do you think your father will leave his Kingdom?" Elrond asked, the two of them slowly walking towards the kings tent.

"I cannot begin to guess what will happen. They are both the most stubborn people I have met. But if she refuses to give up, which she normally doesn't then yes he will leave his kingdom. However, with or without the army of elves Lara will meet us in Gondor." Legolas answered. Elrond glanced to Legolas, slightly surprised by the use of a nickname. A small smile coming to his face as he could tell his sight into the future is coming to light, even in this dark time.

"With luck she will bring an army. Will you grab the dwarf, Gimli, and prepare to leave with Aragorn? I must go. Speak with the King of Rohan." Elrond instructed, turning from Legolas sand entering the kings tent as he pulls his hood back over his head.

Legolas turned towards his and Gimli's tent, entering it. The dwarf lay on his bed roll snoring loudly. Legolas could never find rest while the dwarf was asleep, he was so loud. Walking towards Gimli, Legolas tapped his side with his foot, not even stirring the dwarf. Sighing, he kicked a little hard, causing Gimli to jerk awake. Sitting up and looking to Legolas in confusion, "What do you want, twinkle toes?" He grumbled.

Shaking his head, Legolas turned to his bed roll, closing it and packing the rest of his things. "We must prepare to leave." He explained.

Gimli stood from his bed, confused as to why they were preparing to leave. "It's still night."

"Aragorn is preparing to leave now. He won't be traveling with the Rohirrim." Legolas stated. Standing with all his things, turning to Gimli. Who was now back on the ground quickly gathering his things. "I am going to prepare the horse. Will you find Aragorn?"

"Yes, I will make sure he won't leave without us."

Legolas paused at the entry to the tent, glancing back to the dwarf. "Should we go get Merry?"

Gimli looked up, clicking his tongue for a moment as he thought. "No, he will be safer here with the army then where ever the hell Aragorn is about to drag us." Gimli decided. Legolas nodded, leaving the tent and heading towards there horses. He had gotten. A different one after Naehlara left with Arod but this new steady was treating him and Gimli well.

Unsaddling the horses and untying them he left towards the entrance into the mountain. With their luck they would be heading in there. "And just where do you think you're off to?" Gimli questioned, Legolas came around the last tent. Finding Aragorn ready to go and looking to Gimli.

"Not this time, this time you must stay, my friend." Aragorn said softly, determined to go alone.

Legolas stepped forward with both Brego and his own horse. "Have you learnt nothing of the stubbornness of dwarves?" He questioned, Aragorn and Gimli turning to him.

Gimli stepped closer to Aragorn, a smile on his face. "You might as well accept it. We're going with you, laddie." Aragorn shook his head, a smile growing on his face.

"Let us go then." Aragorn said softly, walking over to Legolas. Patting his shoulder in thanks, and taking Brego's reigns. The three of them riding into the mountain in search for the men of the mountain.
