Naehlara stood next to Legolas, leaning against a pillar. Pippin and Merry sitting one a table with Gimli. Aragorn, Gandalf, Theoden and Eomer standing towards the middle of the hall. "There was no lie in Pippin's eyes; a fool he remains. He told Sauron nothing of Frodo and the Ring." Gandalf states, Pippin looking to the ground.
Naehlara steps over to Pippin setting a hand on his shoulder. "We've been strangely fortunate. What Pippin saw in the Palantir was a glimpse of our enemy's plan." Gandalf turned from Theoden to the company around the room. "Sauron moves to strike the city of Minas Tirith. His defeat at Helm's Deep showed our enemy one thing. The heir of Elendil has come forth. Men are not as weak as he supposed. There is courage still- strength enough left to challenge him."
Gandalf looks to Aragorn, who looks from the wizard to Theoden. "Sauron fears this. He will not risk the peoples of Middle-Earth uniting under one banner. He will raise Minas Tirith to the ground before he sees the return of the king." Gandalf turns to Theoden, walking towards him. "If the beacons of Gondor are lit, Rohan must be ready for war."
Theoden looks to the Gandalf, his face cold. "Tell me. Why should we ride to the aid of those who did not come to ours?" Theoden questions, Aragorn turns shock evident on his face, shocked the kind would not come to Gondor's aid. "What do we owe Gondor?"
"I will go." Aragorn states, stepping forward.N Naehlara looked to Gandalf, unsure whether Aragorn leaving was the best course of action.
"No!" Gandalf shouted turning to face Aragorn.
"They must be warned." Aragorn argued.
"They will be. You must come to Minas Tirith by another road.. Follow the river, look to the black ships." Gandalf said quietly towards Aragorn, before turning to the whole group. "Understand this, things are now in motion that cannot be undone."
Gandalf turns looking toward Pippin and Naehlara, "I ride for Minas Tirith. And I won't be going alone." Gandalf turned and left the hall, the members of the fellowship rolling behind him. Pippin rushing forward to be trailing just behind Gandalf.
"Are you going with Gandalf and Pippin?" Legolas questioned, coming up beside NAehlara. Holding her hand as the walked out of the hall and down the steps into the many city or Erodas.
Naehlara glanced from Aragorn to Gandalf. "No, I'm to be with Aragorn. To unite men and elves." Naehlara said softly, what neither knew was Gandalf had a small smile grace his face. Happy and proud that the King of Men and the Queen of Elves were finally accepting their roles.
"Where are we going?" Pippin questions, looking worriedly to Merry. A frown growing across Naehlara's face, worried for the little hobbit.
"Why did-" Naehlara looked away from the two, and towards Legolas. Her hand tightening around his. If they are going to battle Sauron at Minas Tirith they were going to need all the luck in the world to survive.
The group entered the stables following to the back, reminding Naehlara of him leaving right before Helm's Deep. "How far is Minas Tirith?" Pippin question.
"Three days ride as the Nazgûl flies and you'd better hope we don't have one of those on our tail." Gandalf answers. Naehlara's stomach turned this seemed like a really bad idea, separating everyone after they had just gotten back together.
Merry grabbed Pippin's hand setting a small pouch in his hand. "Here, something for the road." Merry said, giving a small sad smile to Pippin.
"The last of the Longbottom Leaf." Pippin says, almost in awe as he looked to Merry with wide eyes.
"I know you've tun out. You smoke too much, Pip." Merry jokes, causing Pippin and Naehlara to smile.
Stepping over Naehlara kneels down in front of Pippin, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Please be safe, Pippin." Taking her elven cloak off she slips it over Pippin's shoulders, tightening it around him. "It's cold in Gondor, the turn of the seasons."
Pippin's eyebrows crunched together as he glances between Merry and Naehlara. "But we'll see each other son?" He questions. Merry and NAehlara glance to each other and then to Gandalf. "Won't we? "He asks again, worry building within him.
"I don't know, I don't know what's going to happen." Merry quietly answers. Naehlara stood, walking to Gandalf as he mounts Shadowfax.
"Do not be hard to him, he is young and growing. Take care of him, Gandalf." Naehlara whispered, Gandalf looked down to her. Nodding his head silently turning away from her. Leading Shadowfax next to Pippin and lifting him up onto the horse in front of him.
"Run Shadowfax, show us the meaning of haste." Gandalf yells, Shadowfax sprinting out. Of the stables.
"Merry!" Pippin yelled. Naehlara glanced to Merry, who looked sad, scared and devastated watching his cousin leave, heading straight towards danger. Merry went running out of the stables following Pippin, Aragorn quickly ran after him.
Turing to Legolas and Gimli, Naehlara frowned her heart aching for the two hobbits. "I do not feel good about this." she mumbled, looking to the ground, praying to the Valar for Pippin an Gandalf's safety.
"Pippin is safer with Gandalf." Gimli tries to comfort though the frown on his face doesn't help the unsettled feeling in her stomach. Legolas didn't say anything as he took her hand, squeezing it in comfort and kissing the top of her head. Gimli watched the two eyebrow raised, "Cannot believe the pointy eared elvish Princling, has won you over lassie."
Naehlara couldn't help the laugh the broke out of her. "I'm happy for you though. You best take care of her elf." Gimli says, giving a pointed look to Legolas and then walking out of the stables. Glancing up Naehlara has a small smile on her face as Legolas rolls his eyes to the dwarf.
"We should try to find something to do." Naehlara said, looking for a distraction from Pippin and Gandalfs leaving.
"We could go find a quiet garden and I can do your hair." Legolas suggests, as they make their way out of the stables. Naehlara smiled as they walked around the city of Edoras, looking for a garden.
"You can do my hair whenever you want." Naehlara whispered, the small smile on her face staying as she was by his side keeping her worries at bay.
